Realme GT 6T vs Motorola Edge 50 Pro performance comparison: which is the better performer under Rs 35,000

Today, we bring you a performance comparison of two flagship mid-rangers: Realme GT 6T (review) and Motorola Edge 50 Pro (review). Both smartphones ship with Snapdragon 7-series chipsets. While the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset powers the Motorola Edge 50 Pro, the Realme smartphone rocks a newer Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC. Does the ‘plus’ in the Realme GT 6T chipset moniker translate to a noticeable real-world difference? If so, how significant is it? Keep reading this Realme GT vs Motorola Edge 50 Pro performance comparison to discover.

Specs Realme GT 6T Motorola Edge 50 Pro
Chipset Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 Snapdragon 7 Gen 3
GPU Adreno 732 Adreno 720

AnTuTu

The Realme GT 6T significantly outperforms its counterpart on the AnTuTu test, achieving a score of 1,450,949, which is approximately 6,00,000 points more than the Motorola Edge 50 Pro. Beyond its core performance, the Realme GT 6T likely benefits from its faster UFS 4.0 storage compared to UFS 2.2 on the Motorola Edge 50 Pro. This suggests that the smartphone will excel at handling demanding tasks such as graphics-intensive gaming.

Winner: Realme GT 6T

Geekbench

In Geekbench tests too, the Realme GT 6T outclasses the Motorola, scoring 1,826 in the single-core test and 4,544 in the multi-core test. The Edge 50 Pro, in contrast, could only manage 1,142 and 3,119 in the single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. This should give the Realme smartphone an edge over the Edge 50 Pro when it comes to completing tasks.

Winner: Realme GT 6T

Throttling

Realme GT 6T vs Motorola Edge 50 Pro burnout test

While the Realme smartphone outperforms Motorola in AnTuTu and Geekbench, it struggles in the Burnout CPU throttle test. The GT 6T throttled to 58.4 percent of its peak performance, whereas the Motorola Edge 50 Pro’s performance dropped to only 69.6 percent under intense load.

Winner: Motorola Edge 50 Pro

Gaming

We played games on these devices to test real-world performance and recorded their temperature spikes. Despite differences in synthetic performance, both smartphones handle graphically demanding games well. We played BGMI, Call of Duty, and Real Racing 3 on both Realme GT 6T and Motorola Edge 50 Pro for 30 minutes each, using similar graphics settings. The Realme smartphone registered a temperature increase of just 14 degrees, whereas the Motorola Edge 50 Pro’s thermals spiked by approximately 17 degrees. The Realme smartphone also offers better battery management.

Winner: Realme GT 6T

Verdict

The Realme GT 6T is the clear winner in this performance test, except in throttling, where the Motorola Edge 50 Pro outshines it. Otherwise, the Realme smartphone, with its Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset combined with faster UFS 4.0 storage, ensures top-tier performance in benchmark and gaming tests. This doesn’t mean the Motorola offering has any shortcomings. The phone is equally capable of handling everything thrown at it, but not as robustly and efficiently as the Realme GT 6T.
