iPhone 16 Pro to feature larger camera sensors than iPhone 15 Pro, leaked images reveal

The iPhone 16 Pro launch is only three months away if Apple sticks to its September schedule for the new devices. A recent rumour suggested a slightly bigger screen for the iPhone 16 Pro than the iPhone 15 Pro. Now a leaker has shared images of what’s supposed to be the iPhone 16 Pro cases and it looks like even the camera island is going to get bigger. 

iPhone 16 Pro to feature huge camera island 

• Alleged iPhone 16 Pro cases were shared on X by leaker Majin Bu with the caption saying that the camera module is huge. 
• There are five MagSafe charging cases here in transparent and black colours with white, purple, and blue borders.
• The cases show a huge cutout for the iPhone 16 Pro’s camera module suggesting that it will feature larger sensors than the iPhone 15 Pro. We can’t determine the exact difference but we can see that the camera island is almost touching the MagSafe ring. The iPhone 15 Pro’s cameras still have some space between the sensors and the ring. 
• This leak aligns with previous rumours about the iPhone 16 Pro’s cameras being placed slightly higher, and another one the design could resemble an electric razor. So there is talk about the changes that we might see on the iPhone 16 Pro’s cameras this time.

iPhone 16 Pro: rumours so far

The iPhone 16 Pro is expected to sport a 6.3-inch display, which would be bigger than the 6.1-inch screen on the iPhone 15 Pro. So we might be getting a much larger iPhone 16 Pro model this time. In terms of cameras, the upgrades rumoured include a new 48MP ultra-wide camera and a 12MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. Apple would be finally replacing the iPhone 15 Pro’s 12MP ultra-wide sensor with a 48MP unit.
