Vivo S19, S19 Pro specifications

Vivo S19 Pro is a slightly thicker but lighter device out of the two since it has a smaller 5,500mAh battery. The vanilla Vivo S19 has a 6,000mAh battery. Vivo reveals these batteries have more power density than conventional batteries thanks to the company’s Blue Ocean tech. They take up less space.

Both phones are equipped with 80W wired charging support though. Both have a similar 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 4,500 nits peak brightness. But the Pro has a curved display and the vanilla S19 has a flat display.

The Vivo S19 Pro has a more powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset than S19’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC.

Another notable difference is in the camera department. While they both have 50MP main cameras, the S19 Pro is using the Sony IMX921 for the first time. They both have an 8MP ultrawide snapper with Vivo’s anti-shake OIS. Finally, the S19 Pro also has an additional 50MP telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom.

When you peep into the specs sheet, you will find differences like Bluetooth 5.4 support on the S19 (as opposed to Bluetooth 5.3 on the S19 Pro), IP68 and IP69K water resistance rating on the S19 Pro while the S19 has only IP64 ingress rating.

Vivo S19, S19 Pro: what are the upgrades over the S18 series?

  • Vivo has increased the peak brightness capacity of the S19 series to 4,500 nits while the S18 lineup could hit 2,800 nits only.
  • Only the base variant of S19 has the UFS 2.2 storage, but it was across the board on S18.
  • The S19 Pro has a higher-resolution 50MP telephoto sensor (vs 12MP on the S18 Pro).
  • The battery capacity sees a bump on both the S19 and the S19 Pro. The S18 and S18 Pro only had a 5,000mAh cell.
