CMF Phone 1 launching today in India: time, how to watch live stream, expected price, specs

Nothing offshoot brand CMF released its first products in the fall of 2023 and after releasing a bunch of smartphone peripherals or wearable tech, the company is finally launching its first phone today in India. Yes, we are talking about the much-anticipated CMF Phone 1. Here you can check out its livestream link, and details like its expected price, specifications and more.

CMF Phone 1 price in India (expected)

Early rumours suggested the CMF Phone 1’s 6+128GB model could start at Rs 15,999 and the 8+128GB variant could cost Rs 17,999 after Rs 2,000 introductory discounts.

However, a Flipkart banner on YouTube was spotted by an X user @himawanth8 that shows the phone could launch at a starting price of Rs 14,999 only on July 12th, which we believe would be the first sale date.

Speaking of Flipkart, CMF has hosted a dedicated Phone 1 microsite on the e-commerce website which discloses several key features of the phone.

CMF Phone 1 specifications, design

Display: CMF has confirmed that Phone 1 will have an AMOLED display. This is expected to be a 6.67-inch screen with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and 2,000 nits peak brightness.
Processor: CMF Phone 1 will ship with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 5G SoC paired with Mali-G615 GPU. This is a successor to the Dimensity 7050 SoC and not the Dimensity 7200 SoC as one would assume.
Memory: The phone is tipped to come with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. There could be support for 2GB virtual RAM and expandable up to 2TB via microSD card.
Battery: Powering all of these could be a 5,000mAh battery with 33W charging support. That’s the same battery size as the Nothing Phone (2a) but with a slower charger.
Camera: We know the main camera on the device is a 50MP sensor. On the official photo, we can see its secondary rear camera too although the exact details aren’t out. It could be a depth sensor. Meanwhile, on the front, we are expecting a 16MP selfie snapper.
Software: The phone could boot Android 14-based Nothing OS 2.6.0 with a promise of two years of OS upgrades and three years of security patches.
Design: CMF Phone 1 will have a removable back cover. You will get to swap between different coloured back covers. You can also attach accessories like a lanyard or a stand to its back. There is an oval rear camera island on the back and a punch-hole camera cutout on the front.
