3 new Jio 5G True Unlimited Upgrade plans available now: how to get them
After increasing its recharge plan prices and discontinuing some plans, Jio has quietly added three new True Unlimited Upgrade plans to its catalogue. These plans provide unlimited 5G data and match the validity of your current active plan. Let’s understand how these new data recharge vouchers work and how to recharge with them.
Jio True Unlimited Upgrade plans: prices

Rs 51 Jio data plan
You get 3GB of high-speed 4G internet after which the speed will drop to 64Kbps (FUP limit). The plan validity will be the same as your active base plan.
So if you have a monthly or annual plan, this plan will extend till that main plan expires.
Rs 101 Jio data plan
You get 6GB of high-speed 4G data but once you use up that 6GBs, the speed falls to 64Kbps. You can use it till the base plan lasts.
Rs 151 Jio data plan
This plan brings you 9GB of 4G high-speed data and its FUP limit and validity rules are similar to the above two plans.
Use of Jio True Unlimited Upgrade plans
- Post the recent tariff hike, unlimited 5G was restricted to Jio recharge plans with 2GB/day data or above. So, if you had a 1.5GB/day plan, you didn’t have unlimited 5G support.
- Now you get that with these 3 plans.
- But note that these work with daily data limit plans only.
- You also must have a 5G-supported device and be living in a region with a Jio 5G network.
- These 3 plans are not compatible with value plans with aggregate data like Rs 189, Rs 479 and Rs 1,899 plans.
These 3 ‘True Unlimited Upgrade’ plans are added to a catalogue which already consists of 16 True 5G Unlimited Plans.
How to recharge Jio True Unlimited Upgrade plans
At the time of writing this article, the Jio True Unlimited Upgrade plans are available on Jio.com (website) only. It may appear on the My Jio app and other 3rd party recharge apps later.
To recharge with these plans, do the following:
Step 1: Go to Jio.com
Step 2: Tap on the Mobile option on the top menu bar.
Step 3: Tap the Prepaid option on the top menu bar.
Step 4: Tap the True 5G Unlimited Plans option.
Step 5: On the next page, you will see the 3 new plans and below them the rest of the 16 True 5G Unlimited Plans.
Step 6: Tap on the Recharge button and enter your mobile number.
Step 7: Pay using your preferred payment option.
