Unpacked 2024 roundup: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, Flip 6 launch date, expected devices, specs, prices and more

The second Samsung Unpacked event is taking place next week in Paris. This is another major event for the South Korean tech giant. A host of new devices are expected ranging from foldable phones, wearables, and audio products. Samsung has started teasing its July Unpacked without revealing any details. However, there’s already a bunch of leaks online that tell us which devices are launching and what to expect from them.

Accumulating all leaks and rumours, here’s everything you need to know about the Galaxy Unpacked event.

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked launch event date

The Galaxy Unpacked event is scheduled to take place on July 10th in Paris. The Samsung event will be streamed live on the company’s official website, YouTube channel, and Samsung Newsroom at 6:30 PM (IST).

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked pre-reservation details

Samsung has already begun pre-reservation for its upcoming Galaxy devices. Each device can be pre-reserved for a refundable amount of Rs 1,999. Some of the pre-reserve benefits include vouchers up to Rs 7,000, best value upgrade, assured buyback, and special edition. You can also register to win a voucher worth Rs 5,000. Those who pre-book will get first access to the Galaxy devices once they launch in India.

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked: devices expected

As mentioned above, there are several devices expected to launch at the Galaxy Unpacked event. In total, there could be seven Samsung products from different lineups. We take a look at each of the new Samsung devices launching at Unpacked.

Galaxy Z Fold 6

According to leaks and rumours, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 has the same design as the Fold 5 but it’s lighter at 239g. It’s expected to feature a 7.6-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X 120Hz main display and a 6.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X cover display. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 could feature a 12MP ultra-wide camera, a 50MP wide camera with 2x optical zoom, and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom at the back. It’s tipped to house a 10MP front camera and a 4MP under-display camera.

The new foldable could pack a 4,400mAh battery, and will most likely be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. It’s also tipped to come with an Armor Aluminum frame, Gorilla Glass Victus 2, IP48 water resistance, and S Pen support.

Galaxy Z Flip 6

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 will feature a 6.6-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X 120Hz main display and a 3.4-inch FHD cover display. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor will power it and feature a 4,000mAh battery. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 will house a 50MP main camera with 2X digital zoom, a 12MP ultra-wide camera on the cover display, and a 10MP front camera inside.

Galaxy Watch Ultra

The Galaxy Watch Ultra is a new and premium offering from Samsung. Leaked images show a unique design of a circular dial and a square case. It will reportedly launch in a single 47mm size with a titanium case, sapphire glass, and a 3D glass dial. The Galaxy Watch Ultra is tipped to feature a 1.5-inch Super AMOLED display, the Exynos W1000 processor, and 2GB RAM with 32GB storage.

The smartwatch is also tipped to pack a 590mAh battery and run Wear OS layered with One UI Watch 6.0. It will come with IP6X dust protection, a 10 ATM waterproof rating, and an IP68 rating. It’s said to launch in Titanium Silver with a Black strap, Titanium White with a White strap, and Titanium Grey with an Orange strap that is said to sell only in Europe. It’s tipped to cost 699 Euros, which translates to Rs 62,700.

Galaxy Watch 7

The Galaxy Watch 7 is said to come in 40mm and 44m sizes and feature an aluminum armor case. The rest of the materials remain the same as the Watch Ultra. The 40mm Galaxy Watch 7 has a 1.3-inch display, while the 44mm has a 1.5-inch display. It’s also tipped to come with the same chipset and storage capacity as the Ultra.

Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, Galaxy Buds 3

The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro and Buds 3 are also expected to debut at Unpacked. The new TWS will offer something different as Samsung has opted for an AirPods Pro-like stem design. This has been confirmed through leaks from official sites. The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro and Buds 3 have been spotted with a stem design.

The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro will be the more expensive variant. It’s expected to offer up to 7 hours of battery life and 6 hours with ANC. It could also feature Adaptive ENC along with Ambient Sound and Adaptive EQ. The Buds 3 Pro is said to offer a dual-driver setup and an IP57 rating for dust and water resistance. Colour options leaked for the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro include Silver and White.

The Galaxy Buds 3 might offer up to 6 hours of battery life and 5 hours with ANC on. It will also have Adaptive EQ but miss out on the other features. The Galaxy Buds 3 is also said to come with a single-driver audio setup.

Galaxy Ring

Samsung showcased the Galaxy Ring for the first time at the Mobile World Congress earlier this year. It’s a new wearable from the brand that’s expected to launch at Unpacked. The Galaxy Ring is expected to launch in at least nine different sizes. It will come with health and fitness features. Some of these could be stress monitoring, heart rate tracking, period monitoring, and snore detection.

Galaxy Watch FE

The Samsung Galaxy Watch FE was unveiled last month. It’s the first ‘FE’ watch from Samsung and it has an aluminium case in three shades: Black, Pink Gold, and Silver. The Galaxy Watch FE features a 1.2-inch Super AMOLED display and a BioActive sensor for heart rate and electrical cardiac monitoring. It also has 5ATM and an IP68 rating for water resistance. The Watch FE comes in a single 40mm size. Samsung has yet to reveal the Galaxy Watch FE price, which could be disclosed at Unpacked.
