Samsung Galaxy F42 5G, which is set to launch in India on September 29th, has allegedly appeared on Google Play Console along with some key specifications. The listing also corroborates the previous reports of the smartphone being a rebranded Galaxy Wide5 for the Indian market. The Galaxy Wide5, to recall, was introduced in South Korea earlier this month. There the handset rocks a 6.6-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, 64MP quad rear cameras, and 5,000mAh battery, among other things. Here’s what to expect from the Samsung Galaxy F42 5G.

Tipster Mukul Sharma, aka @stufflistings, spotted the Samsung Galaxy F42 5G on Google Play Console. As per the listing, the Galaxy F42 comes with Mediatek Dimensity 700 chipset (MT6833) paired with Mali G57 GPU and 8GB RAM. The smartphone features a display with a resolution of 1080×2009 pixels and a screen density of 450ppi. The smartphone runs Android 11, expectedly with One UI 3.0 skin.

The Samsung Galaxy F42 5G Flipkart listing has confirmed that the handset will come with an FHD+ 90Hz display, which is likely to be an AMOLED panel, measuring 6.6-inch diagonally. The display will bear an Infinity-V notch atop that is tipped to house an 8MP camera unit for selfies and video calling. In addition to the 8GB RAM pairing the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, the handset could also come with 6GB RAM. The handset is likely to employ 128GB storage onboard. 

The Samsung Galaxy F42 5G cameras around the back will include a triple setup, with a 64MP primary sensor and night mode. This will reportedly be paired with a 5MP (115-degree FOV) ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The smartphone will boast a 5,000mAh battery with the alleged support of 15W wired charging. Software-wise, the phone could run Android 11-based OneUI out of the box. Other features of the Samsung Galaxy F42 may include 12 5G bands, 4G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB C for charging.

The Galaxy F42 price in India remains under the wraps.
