Nothing Phone (2a) Plus Community Edition has been launched in India. This is a custom edition of the smartphone, which was launched as a project earlier this year in March. Nothing has detailed the entire process on its website behind the Phone (2a) Plus Community Edition. The project was split into four stages: Hardware design, Wallpaper design, Packaging design, and Marketing campaign.

• Nothing Phone (2a) Community Edition is priced at Rs 29,999 for the single 12GB + 256GB variant.
• It’s worth noting that this is the same price as the regular Nothing Phone (2a) Plus 12GB + 256GB variant. 
• Those interested can head to Nothing India’s website and register for the device. Only 1,000 units of the Nothing Phone (2a) Community Edition will be available to purchase. 

Nothing Phone (2a) Plus Community Edition: what’s new?

Nothing Phone (2a) Plus Community Edition is mostly focused on a new design for the smartphone, which was launched as a project. A total of four winners have been selected for the hardware, wallpaper, packaging, and marketing campaign. The project started in May and ended in July. 

The Nothing Phone (2a) Community Edition comes in green colour and features the same Glyph Interface design as the regular model. The highlight of this phone is that it has a glow-in-the-dark design in a neon green shade.

Nothing Phone (2a) Plus Community Edition specifications

As mentioned above, the specifications remain the same as the regular Nothing Phone (2a). Here’s a recap: 

• Display: The Nothing Phone (2a) Plus Community Edition features a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, 1,300 nits peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection layered on top.
• Processor: The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7350 Pro chipset with ARM Mali-G610 MC4 GPU. 
• Cameras: Nothing Phone (2a) Plus Community Edition has a 50MP Samsung GN9 primary sensor with OIS, EIS, and 10x digital zoom and a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultra-wide camera. For selfies, you get the 50MP Samsung JN1 front camera.
• Battery, charging: The smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery with 50W fast charging and 5W reverse wired charging support.
• Software: On the software front, the Phone (2a) Plus runs Nothing OS 2.6 based on Android 14. It’s confirmed to get 3 years of Android updates and 4 years of security patches.
• Other features: Nothing Phone (2a) Plus Community Edition also comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor, IP54 water and dust resistance, dual stereo speakers, and NFC with Google Pay support.
