After more than a week-long tease, iQOO has finally announced the launch date for the iQOO Z9s series. iQOO India’s chief Nipun Marya has posted the August launch date of the new iQOO phones through X.com. The company has also sent out press invites for the event, which reveals the phone’s curved screen design, AnTuTu score, and price range. Here, check out everything we know so far:

iQOO Z9s India launch date

iQOO Z9s series will be launching in India on August 21st, 2024. The announcement poster shows the iQOO Z9s is going to be the “segment’s fastest curved screen phone”and a multitasking phone.

iQOO Z9s design

To reiterate, the front side will be curved by the edges. It is good to see that iQOO has chosen a curved screen design for this phone while most of the industry is moving towards a flatter design. This could help the iQOO Z9s distinguish itself from its peers.

From the earlier teaser poster, we learned the back side will share that curviness by the edges. The curved edges should endow a smoother hold. 

The rear surface appears to have a glossy white-marble-esque finish (possibly called Luxe Marble). It could be available in other colours and finishes.

The back of the phone has a squircle camera island with triple cameras. The flashlight is also present inside the squircle.

iQOO Z9s India price range, AnTuTu score

The iQOO Z9s series is said to have scored 8.2 lakh points on the AnTuTu benchmark test. iQOO Z9s series could start under Rs 25,000 in India. Both these details are mentioned at the bottom of the launch date announcement poster.

The regular iQOO Z9 is expected to launch at around Rs 19,999.

iQOO Z9s series specifications (expected)

The phone mentioned here could specifically be the iQOO Z9s Pro and based on a recent Geekbench posting, the Pro model could be powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC. It could also feature 12GB RAM, a 5,500mAh battery, a 6.78-inch 120Hz curved AMOLED screen, and a 50MP Sony LYT-600 sensor as the main camera.

The iQOO Z9s, meanwhile, is rumoured to ship with MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC.
