OnePlus Pad 2 appears on Geekbench with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3

OnePlus Pad debuted way back in February 2023 and this means we’re long overdue for a successor. Now, 91mobiles has spotted the possible OnePlus Pad 2 on the Geekbench benchmark application. This tells us how good the tablet’s performance will be and some key hardware specifications. Check out the details.

OnePlus Pad 2 might debut soon

• The Geekbench listing shows the OnePlus Pad 2 will bear the model number OPD2404. In comparison, the original OnePlus Pad has the model number OPD2203.
• The listing shows the tablet has managed to score 2,079 in the single-core round and 6,077 in the multi-core segment.

• For context, the original OnePlus Pad scored 897 points in the single-core round and 3,190 points in the multi-core segment.
• This means the successor is getting massive performance gains in both the single and multi-core rounds. For context, the OnePlus Pad came with MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC. 
• The listing shows the tablet could pack 8GB RAM and boot Android 14 OS out of the box.
• The chipset section mentions ‘pineapple’, which could be associated with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. This falls in line with a leak from a couple of months ago by tipster Max Jambor.

Besides the chipset not much else is known about the OnePlus Pad 2 but there are speculations on the OPPO Pad 3. The OPPO tablet was recently spotted on China’s 3C certification and revealed 67W SuperVOOC fast charging support. This is similar to the original OnePlus Pad. The charger has the model number VCB7OACH and it supports 10W (5V/2A) and 67W (11V/6.1A) fast charging speeds.

OnePlus Pad 3: what we know so far

Considering the OnePlus Pad 3 is indeed a rebrand of the OPPO Pad 3, some of its specifications have been tipped by DigitalChatStation. He claims the tablet would come with a 12.1-inch IPS LCD display, a 144Hz refresh rate, 900nits peak brightness and 3K resolution. In comparison, the OnePlus Pad came with an 11.6-inch 2.5D curved glass display.

The tablet might come with a 13MP primary camera and we might see an 8MP shooter on the front for selfies. It could pack LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The OnePlus Pad 2 might debut in the second half of the year.
