BSNL Rs 88 prepaid plan’s validity reduced, here’s how long the plan lasts now

State-led telecom operator BSNL has reduced the validity of its Rs 88 prepaid plan in the country. Earlier, the plan offered 35 days of validity but this has now been dropped to 30 days. Do note that there are no data benefits with this plan as the pack only offers voice calls.

BSNL Rs 88 plan validity details

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has reduced the service validity of its Rs 88 plan.
The plan earlier offered 35 days of validity but now comes with just 30 days.

The Rs 88 pack charges users 10 paise per minute for on-net calls and 30 paise per minute for off-net calls. As said, there are no data benefits with the plan.
The Rs 88 BSNL plan is available to recharge across all telecom circles in the country.

It should be noted that BSNL plans are getting pricier while the benefits are slowly reducing compared to what they previously offered. This is likely because the telecom operator is slowly rolling out 4G to improve customer experience and, in turn, add more customers.

Besides BSNL, Vodafone Idea (Vi) offers a similar type of plan that is priced under Rs 100. This plan costs Rs 99 but the validity is only 15 days, against the original validity of 28 days.

Interestingly, BSNL back in March increased the validity of Rs 699 and Rs 999 prepaid plans. The BSNL Rs 699 plan earlier offered 130 days of validity but the same was increased to 150 days. The pack offers 0.5GB of daily data, unlimited voice calling, and 100 SMS per day for the entire validity. Customers can also take advantage of a free personalised ringback tone (PRBT) for the first 60 days.

Similarly, the Rs 999 BSNL plan offers 215 days of validity compared to the original validity of 200 days. The plan offers unlimited voice calling and 60 days of free personalised ringback tone (PRBT). Do note that there are no data or SMS benefits with the pack.
