Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event date and location tipped: what’s expected

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Unpacked will reportedly be held in July. The mid-year Unpacked event will be the stage for debuting the new Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 models, the new Galaxy Watch 7 series, and the much-awaited Galaxy Ring, among other things. Here’s everything you can expect:

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked July event details (rumoured)

As per Sammobile, the mid-year Galaxy Unpacked event is scheduled for July 10th. This is earlier than previous years but we had heard rumours of this timeframe.

The event will be held in Paris, where the Summer Olympics 2024 is set to start later that month. And perhaps since Samsung is one of its official sponsors, the French capital has been chosen as the Unpacked event venue.

Expected Samsung Galaxy Unpacked announcements

Galaxy Ring

• Samsung Galaxy Ring will reportedly come in 8/9 versions ranging between SM-Q500 to SM-Q509 model numbers.
• They could be available in US ring sizes ranging between size 5 to size 13 (about 22.2mm wide). 

• It is expected to hit the stores in 3 finishes. 
• The Ring is said to last 9 days on battery. So, there’s excitement for battery longevity.
• Finally, Samsung is estimated to make over 400,000 units and begin mass production from next month. 

Galaxy Watch 7

• We are anticipating a Galaxy Watch 7 Classic, a Galaxy Watch 7 Pro, and a “new” version. This new model could be christened “Galaxy Watch Fan Edition (FE)” or “Galaxy Watch 4 (2024)”.
• The Galaxy Watch 7 series is expected to be running on a 3nm chip which is claimed to be 50% more power efficient than the chip inside the Galaxy Watch 6 lineup.

• The storage capacity could be upgraded to 32GB.
• It could be available in Wi-Fi-only and Wi-Fi + eSIM (cellular) editions.

Galaxy Z Flip 6, Z Fold 6

• Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 could ship in Light Blue, Mint (Light Green), Silver Shadow, Yellow, Crafted Black, Peach and White colours.
• The Z Flip6 could sport a bigger cover display, improved hinge, and other upgrades. Both Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6 are expected to come in the same storage variants.
• Besides the regular Z foldables, we expect two new Fan Edition models (FE).
• The Z Flip 6 FE could be running on Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC while the Z Fold 6 FE could be powered by Snapdragon and Exynos (Exynos 2300 or 2200) chips, likely in different markets. Here are the rest of their details.
