Infinix Note 40 series confirmed to feature Cheetah X1 dedicated charging chip
The Infinix Note 40 series is set to arrive on March 18th and will include two models: Infinix Note 40 and Note 40 Pro. These arrive as a follow-up to the Infinix Note 30 5G. After confirming the phones would come with wireless MagCharge support, the company has now revealed the Infinix Note 40 series will feature a dedicated charging chip, dubbed Cheetah X1.
Infinix Cheetah X1 chip
- The Infinix Cheetah X1 chip is the company’s self-developed chip that will power the All-Round FastCharge 2.0 in the Infinix NOTE 40 Series.

- The Cheetah X1 chip will handle 100W wired, wireless and reverse wired/wireless charging. This also includes special modes for night charging.
- The dedicated chip will act as the brain of the phone’s charging system. This will intelligently distribute power based on real-time needs, optimise efficiency and protect battery health.
- There is a 63-level safety shield to safeguard against potential risks with automatic intervention and user alerts.
- Infinix says that it has utilised advanced packaging technology as it shrunk the Cheetah X1 to an incredibly small size.
Infinix Note 40 series specifications
- The Infinix Note 40 Pro is expected to feature a 6.78-inch display with an FHD+ resolution, an AMOLED panel, a 3D curved panel and a punch-hole cutout.
- The Pro model is believed to be powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, while the standard model could get the new Helio G91 SoC.
- There could be a triple camera setup on the back, with a 108MP primary camera and two 2MP sensors.
- The Note 40 Pro could pack a 5000mAh battery.
We should know the rest of the specifications of the phones when they launch next week.
The Infinix Note 40 is expected to be priced at 26,990 Russian rubles (approx Rs 24,500) for the 8GB/256GB variant. While the Pro model could cost 29,990 rubles (approx Rs 27,400) for the 8GB/256GB model and 32,990 rubles (around Rs 30,061) for the 12GB/256GB model.
