iQOO Z7x 5G global/Indian variant receives NBTC and Bluetooth SIG certification, launch imminent
iQOO recently unveiled its iQOO Z7 series of smartphones in China. The brand launched the vanilla iQOO Z7 5G, iQOO Z7i 5G, and iQOO Z7x 5G smartphones in the country. As for India, only the iQOO Z7 5G has launched so far. The iQOO Z7x 5G, however, is tipped to launch in India in April 2023. The global/Indian variant of the device has today been spotted on the Thai NBTC certification website and the Bluetooth SIG certification website, which further suggest that the launch of the device is imminent. iQOO Z7x 5G global/Indian variant bags new certifications
As seen in the NBTC certification authority listing above, the iQOO Z7x 5G (with the model number iQOO I2216) has recently been certified. The model number confirms that this is indeed the Indian variant of the device, which might also launch in other regions outside of China. The NBTC listing confirms the moniker of the device and also confirms that it will be a 5G handset. Furthermore, the device has also been spotted on the Bluetooth SIG certification website, which also strengthens the speculation that the launch of the device is imminent. iQOO Z7x 5G specifications (expected)
The iQOO Z7x 5G is expected to feature a 6.65-inch IPS LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a FHD+ resolution. The device will most likely make room for a centrally-aligned single punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. As far as the processor is concerned, the device is tipped to come equipped with a Snapdragon 695 processor, which could be paired with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage.
Speaking of the cameras, the device might arrive with a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth camera. At the front, the iQOO Z7x 5G might make room for an 8MP selfie snapper. Coming to the battery of the device, the iQOO Z7x 5G is expected to house a 6,000mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging. Lastly, the device will most likely boot the latest Android 13-based FunTouchOS 13 skin out of the box.
