Vivo, one of India’s top five smartphone brands, is set to unveil its newest mid-range smartphone in India. Dubbed the Vivo Y100, word about the launch of the smartphone was exclusively reported by 91mobiles, where we detailed a host of specifications, launch timeline and colour options that the device would come with. Now, ahead of its official unveiling, tipster Mukul Sharma posted a host of in-hand live images of the smartphone, while tipster Abhishek Yadav has separately tipped its price.

As per Yadav, the Vivo Y100 price may be Rs 24,999 for the 8GB+128GB variant.

Meanwhile, the Vivo Y100, based on the live images seen in Mukul’s tweets, features a rose gold finish to the rear. However, the colour has a shifting gradient finish, which gives it an orange hue under shifting natural daylight. The gradient finish is among the new finishes that rose in trend over the past two years, which now features in the Y100 as well.

While Vivo has confirmed that the smartphone will be launching in India soon, a launch date for the same has not been confirmed as yet. Prior to this, 91mobiles had detailed the set of specifications that the device will come with. These include the MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC, along with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The smartphone is also tipped to feature a 6-inch AMOLED display with HDR10+ certification and 120Hz refresh rate, and a waterdrop notch to house the front camera.

Other key details include a 64MP triple rear camera with optical image stabilisation, while the front camera is tipped to house a 50MP sensor. It should also run on Android 13, and offer 5G connectivity. However, the battery size and the confirmed screen size of the Vivo Y100 are yet to be discerned.
