Twitter Blue subscription has finally launched in India. The new membership costs Rs 650 for those accessing the platform via the Twitter website. Those subscribing via the Android or iOS app will have to shell out Rs 900 per month. The Twitter Blue subscription offers new features like the Twitter Blue tick, the ability to edit tweets, post longer video posts, custom app icons, organised bookmarks, and an option to use NFT as a profile photo. Twitter is offering a discounted price for customers subscribing annually to the website plan.

Customers subscribing monthly will end up paying Rs 7,800 per year, while if they chose the annual plan, they would save Rs 1,000 and Rs 6,800. The new Twitter Blue subscription is mentioned in the left column on the website. The price difference between a website and an app is the platform fee that Google and Apple charge.

How to buy Twitter Blue subscription

A pop-up will allow you to choose your preferred plan and proceed with the payment. The annual program will be accessible only via the website. On Android and iOS, you need to open the app and swipe right to access the menu and there you will see the Twitter Blue option. On tapping it, Twitter will let you subscribe to the premium service at a monthly cost of Rs 900.

Edit Tweets: Twitter Blue subscription will let users edit tweets for up to 30 minutes after posting the Tweet. Users can take advantage of this feature to tag people, re-order media, and much more.

Custom app icons: As the name suggests, the custom app icons feature will let you change the icon on your smartphone display.

Bookmark folder: Bookmark folders let subscribers group and organise Bookmarked Tweets into folders for faster discovery later. The paid plan allows for an unlimited number of bookmarks and Bookmark folders which are private.
