Samsung Galaxy A14 5G India launch imminent as support page goes live
As the handset has appeared on the company’s India support page, Samsung appears to be gearing up to launch a new Galaxy-A series phone, the Samsung Galaxy A14. This will be a 5G model and bears the model number SM-A146B/DS. Besides the listing, there is no mention of any hardware specifications but this serves as a good indication to suggest the launch in the country is definitely on cards. The Samsung Galaxy A14 will come as a successor to the Galaxy A13 5G
The recently leaked render image showed the Samsung Galaxy A14 5G would have triple cameras on the back, arranged in three circular cutouts and an LED flash. The front houses a waterdrop notch for the selfie shooter and a sizeable chin below the screen.
Samsung Galaxy A14 specifications
The Samsung Galaxy A14 was spotted on the FCC website, which revealed the phone would come with multiple 5G bands. There will be support for 15W fast charging and pack a 5000mAh battery. The phone has also been spotted on the NBTC and Bluetooth SIG websites, which revealed Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity support.
The Samsung Galaxy A14 5G will come in two processor options, the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC and the rumoured Exynos 1330 processor. The chipset could be paired with at least 4GB of RAM. The phone could come with a 6.8-inch IPS LCD display with an FHD+ resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and a USB Type-C port for charging.
Moving to optics, the Samsung Galaxy A14 is said to feature a 50MP primary camera. There will be a 13MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. The handset is likely to run on Android 13-based OneUI 5.0 custom skin out of the box.
