[Exclusive] Is This the First Official Samsung Galaxy A73 Press Shot?
As we’ve come to expect from Samsung’s mobile division, its Galaxy A-series of “awesome” mid-range handsets has been steadily revealed throughout the year so far, with the company most recently unveiling the Galaxy A23 as well as the 4G version of the A13. The most anticipated devices of the lineup, however — those closer to the top of the range — have yet to see daylight officially, but now we’ve been passed a render said to be the official Galaxy A73 press shot.
What’s most striking about this purported imagery — of a phone first shown off by mobile leaker @Onleaks — are its notably tiny bezels. Compared to the Galaxy A53 material also seen here, the A73’s screen-to-body ratio is noticeably higher, approaching the theoretical limit of 100 percent (wherein a device’s entire face would be occupied by its display, with no frame elements present whatsoever.)
Both the Galaxy A53 — the next member of Samsung’s high volume A5x sub-series – as well as the Galaxy A73, are poised for an imminent debut. Both models’ predecessors were introduced at a Spring Unpacked event last year, though with the company having recently staged two Unpacked launches during its busy February (for the Galaxy S22 / Galaxy Tab S8 lineups and Galaxy Book2 Pro laptops, respectively), it’s not clear that a dedicated, livestreamed unveiling is in the cards this year, as well.
