The iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro models are all set to launch on January 5th, according to some leaked posters. iQOO has been working on the iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro for some time now and they are slated to be the company’s 2022 flagship offerings. The iQOO 9 was spotted on the 3C certification website as well as the IMEI database and is expected to launch in India sometime by January, as we mentioned in our exclusive coverage. The iQOO 9 series is expected to get the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Mobile Platform, 120W fast charging support, and a 120Hz 2K AMOLED panel.

iQOO 9, iQOO 9 Pro launch date revealed

The iQOO 9 series poster was leaked on Weibo and it mentions the January 5th launch date. The poster that was leaked showed off the iQOO 9 with a white patterned finish with racing stripes. The back panel houses a rectangle visor most of which is dedicated to designing purposes. Tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo said that the iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro will feature similar design philosophies.

The iQOO 9 Pro model is likely to incorporate some new inclusions like a flat style dragon design and some camera upgrades whose fonts can be seen on the camera housing. The text shows the presence of OIS in the camera system.

The iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro will utilise the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Mobile Platform to power themselves and will also feature 120W fast charging support. The iQOO 9 has been tipped to get a 120Hz 2K AMOLED panel, second-generation independent display chip, dual-pressure shoulder buttons, and improved heat management design. Over and above these features, the iQOO 9 Pro is expected to bring in – micro-gimbal PTZ camera and a 4,700mAh battery.
