Vivo new mobile phones launching in 2022
Vivo T1
The Vivo T1 is a mid-range smartphone that was supposed to launch in December but might well be delayed to January 2022. According to leaks, the smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 778G SoC and will come with a 5,000mAh battery and a 64MP camera. It’s likely to be paired with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. As per leaks, the phone will ship with a 3.5mm headphone jack and a fingerprint sensor baked in the power button.
Vivo X70
While the Vivo X70 Pro and Vivo X70 Pro+ already launched in India in the Diwali festive season, the Vivo X70 was nowhere to be seen. If rumours are to be believed, Vivo will launch this smartphone in late December or early January in India. If the phone comes with the same specs as its global counterpart, it will pack a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset, a 6.56-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, a 40MP triple camera setup, a 32MP selfie camera, and a 4400mAh battery. The Vivo X70 Pro impressed us a lot with its premium design and excellent cameras, so we are hoping for the same with the Vivo X70.
Vivo X80
While we are still waiting for the release of the Vivo X70, we have already started receiving numerous leaks and rumours for its successor, the Vivo X80. The smartphone is expected to pack a 120Hz FHD+ display and a 50MP camera with support for Vivo’s excellent 5-axis stabilisation. It will be paired with a 12MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom capability. Powering this device will be the latest MediaTek Dimensity 2000 chipset, which is set to launch in the coming weeks. The phone will supposedly launch in the first quarter of 2022.
Vivo Y21A
While the Vivo Y21A was rumoured to launch in October, it seems that the company had different plans. Now, the device was expected to launch in October, but now it seems that mid-December to early January is the new rumoured release timeline. Sadly, we don’t have any concrete information about the tech specification of this device. If you go by the rumour mills, this will be an entry-level device with a bezel-less display, a 5,000mAh battery, and a triple-camera setup.
Vivo V23 Pro
The Vivo V23 Pro was recently spotted on the IMEI database, suggesting that the company is closer to launching this device. We expect an early January 2022 launch for this device. We don’t know much about the Vivo V23 Pro specification. We have a spec list of a phone from the TENNA listing, but we are not sure if that listing is for the same phone. If it’s indeed Vivo V23 Pro, expect the phone to come with to host an octa-core 2.8GHz processor, a 6.58-inch FHD+ (1080×2376) AMOLED display, and a 4,320mAh battery with support for 44W fast charging.
Vivo V21 Pro
Vivo V21 Pro was supposed to launch alongside the Vivo Y72 5G but that didn’t come to pass. The handset is likely to launch and join other members of the V21 series in India by the end of December. There is no word on the Vivo V21 Pro price and specifications at the moment; however, it won’t be wrong to say that it’ll be the most premium and expensive offering in the lineup.
Vivo X60t Pro
Vivo may introduce a new model in its X60-series lineup that will be dubbed as Vivo X60t Pro. The handset is said to be a slightly improved version of the Vivo X60t, which has already been launched in China. The Vivo X60t Pro specifications are rumoured to include 5G support and a 33W fast charging solution. Additionally, the upcoming Vivo smartphone is also expected to rock punch-hole FHD+ display, 48MP triple rear cameras, and 4,300mAh battery. There is no word yet on whether the Pro model will get the same MediaTek Dimensity 1100 SoC as the regular Vivo X60t.
Vivo NEX 5
The Vivo NEX 5 was rumoured to launch sometime in 2021, but as we know that didn’t pan out. So, we are hoping that Vivo will launch this phone in 2022. The smartphone is tipped to feature exciting features such as an under-display selfie camera and a quad-curved display. The Vivo NEX 5 series specifications are said to include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, a 6.78-inch quad-curved AMOLED panel, and a couple of 50MP Samsung ISOCELL GN2 sensors around the back. The phone could be driven by a 4,500mAh battery. Multiple sources cite different charging speeds, with one source stating that it will be capped at 66W and another insisting that it will be 120W. Its wireless charging speed will be 60W.
Vivo iQOO 9
Vivo iQOO 9 launch was rumoured to launch in the second half of 2021, but new leaks suggest that the device will launch in India in January 2022. The phone was spotted last month in the IMEI database which suggests that these leaks have some grain of truth in them. The smartphone is expected to be a flagship offering, with Snapdragon 898 SoC ticking at its core. iQOO 9 specs are also said to include a curved AMOLED display, a 120W fast charging solution, and dual batteries with a capacity of 2,155mAh each (combined capacity of 4310mAh). That’s all the information that we have on this device at this moment.
