The Samsung smartphone business bounced back last year, with the highest-ever shipments. Rumours are rife that Samsung has lined up a handful of more upcoming mobile phones to launch in 2022 globally as well as in India. The ones that we know so far include Samsung Galaxy S22 series, Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, Samsung Galaxy A13 5G, and more. And that’s just for the first few months of the year. Upcoming Samsung mobile phones

Samsung Galaxy S22 series

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

The next-generation flagship from Samsung, the Samsung Galaxy S22 is expected to launch in February 2022. Like its predecessor, the S22 series will come in three different variants – the Galaxy S22, the Galaxy S22 Plus, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra. The device is supposed to feature a more curvaceous design with the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra sporting a design inspired from the Note series rather than its predecessor. As for features, the regular model is rumoured to pack a 6.06-inch FHD+ LTPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the bigger Galaxy S22+ is tipped to get a 6.55-inch screen. The Galaxy S22 Ultra could get a bigger 6.81-inch display. All these screens will feature an LTPO 120Hz refresh rate panel with support for HDR 10+ specification.

The biggest exciting rumour about this year’s Samsung Galaxy S22 smartphones is that they will be powered by the upcoming flagship chipset from Qualcomm – the Snapdragon 898. As per rumours, the Exynos version of the smartphone will be restricted only to the European market. If this rumour turns out to be correct, this will become the headlining feature for the S22 series in India.

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE

Thanks to the popularity of S20 FE in India, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE remains one of the most anticipated phones of 2022. While the phone was rumoured to launch this year, the global chipset shortage might have delayed its launch to next year. Now, the device is being reported to release on January 4th. The phone has been leaked heavily, so we already know almost everything about this device. The Galaxy S21 FE’s design takes a cue from the S21 Ultra and features a similar camera housing which seamlessly melds with the frame of the device.

According to leaks, the phone might come with a 6.4-inch display, a 64MP triple-camera setup, and a 4,500mAh battery. As for the processor, both the Exynos 2100 and Snapdragon 888 variants have been spotted on Google Play Console, so we don’t know which variant will be released in India. However, if the rumours about Samsung Galaxy S22 series being powered by the Snapdragon chipset are true, then it might be the same for the S21 FE also. With both the S21 FE and S22 series launching so close to each other, it will be interesting to see which device the smartphone enthusiasts are more excited for.

Samsung Galaxy M22

Samsung Galaxy M22

Samsung Galaxy M22 is rumoured to launch in India sooner rather than later. The new Samsung mobile phone has received several certifications, ranging from Geekbench to FCC, and its support page has already gone live on the company’s website. The Samsung Galaxy M22 is rumoured to include MediaTek Helio G80 chipset, 4GB RAM, Android 11 software, and 25W fast charging support. It could also ship with a 90Hz refresh rate display, 5,000mAh battery, and 48MP quad rear cameras.

Samsung Galaxy A13 5G

Another Samsung smartphone that will launch in early 2022 is the Samsung Galaxy A13 5G. According to rumours and leaks, the A13 5G will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset and comes with 4GB RAM. In the leaked images, you can see the phone sporting a water-drop notch at the front and a triple camera setup at the back. The camera setup will include a 50MP primary main camera sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. The device is supposed to pack a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging via a USB-C charging port. It will feature a plastic body and might be the cheapest 5G device from Samsung yet, with prices starting at $290(Rs 21,000-22,000).

Samsung Galaxy A03

The Samsung Galaxy A03 might see a release this year, with everything pointing towards a late December launch date. The device was spotted on Wi-Fi Alliance website last month, and its support pages are already live on Samsung India and Samsung Russia websites. Leakes suggest that the device is set to launch on December 30th, which seems improbable to us, and we think the launch will be delayed to January 2022. As for specifications, the phone is supposed to be powered by the Unisoc SC9863A processor, which will be paired with 2GB RAM and probably 32GB of storage. It will have a 5,000mAh battery pack that will support 15W fast charging. It is most likely to run on Android 11 out of the box, with Android 12 updates coming later next year.

Samsung Galaxy A33

The Samsung Galaxy A33 5G is also rumoured to launch in early 2022. Thanks to our exclusive leaks coverage of Galaxy A33 5G, we know most of the juicy details of this smartphone. The phone will come with a 6.4-inch flat display with an Infinity-U punch-hole design. The design of the device is similar to the current design language of Samsung phones with pastel colours and square camera housing. The phone is supposed to launch in four different colour options including, Orange, Light Blue, Black, and White. In the leaked images you can also speaker grills at the bottom along with a USB-C charging port. We don’t have any details and processor and camera specifications right now. We will update the article when we know more about the device.

Samsung Galaxy A82 5G

Samsung Galaxy A82 5G

The Samsung Galaxy A82 5G is said to be the global version of Galaxy Quantum 2, which was launched in Korea back in April. The handset’s specifications could be as follows: a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC, 6GB RAM, 128GB storage, One UI 3.1 with Android 11, 64MP quad rear camera setup, and a 10MP selfie camera. Samsung Galaxy A82 5G is likely to be driven by a 4,500mAh battery with 25W fast charging. The Samsung Galaxy A82 may also sport stereo speakers and a fingerprint scanner. As the name suggests, the phone will have 5G connectivity. Other connectivity options could include a USB Type-C port.

Samsung Galaxy M62 5G

Samsung Galaxy M62 5G India launch is just around the corner as the smartphone has allegedly received BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification. The handset is believed to be a rebranded version of the Galaxy F62 that launched in India back in February. To recall, the Galaxy F62 comes with a 7,000mAh battery, 64MP quad-cameras, and an sAMOLED display. That said, the M62 is expected to be a 5G offering, which means we can expect a different chipset instead of Exynos 9825 4G SoC on the Samsung Galaxy F62.

Other Samsung smartphones in development

The phones we have mentioned above only include those that will launch in the first few months of 2022. The coming year will also see a refresh of most of the Samsung A series and M series smartphones, with all of them switching to 5G chipsets if they have not already done so. We will also see an update for the new folding flagships from Samsung with a sturdier build, bringing them into the hands of mainstream consumers. We will regularly update this article with all new leaks and rumours about these phones and more. So, keep coming back for all the juicy details on upcoming Samsung phones.
