Nokia XR20 launched in India with 5G support and military-grade durability: Price, specs, and more

Nokia, which has been quiet for some time now in India has finally released a new smartphone, here in India. HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones today via a press release announced the launch of the Nokia XR20. The XR20 comes with a military-grade design with four years of security updates and 3 years of OS upgrades to withstand the phone’s both hardware and software for the long run. Notably, the phone comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G chipset but has been priced in the premium segment, which is slightly surprising but clearly shows that the phone is expected to have a niche appeal.
Sanmeet Singh Kochhar, Vice President, HMD Global, said via a statement: “Indian consumers, are adventurous and outgoing and require high quality, reliable and robust smartphones that can support their fast-paced life and become an extension of their lifestyle. On an average, people damage their smartphone within just 10 weeks of purchasing it. So, they have to invest in protective cases, repairs, and warranties that can increase the maintenance cost, leading to early device replacement. The Nokia XR20 has been designed to withstand any accidental drops, splashes, and tumbles of daily usage.“
