Call of Duty: Mobile Season 9 releases this week, adds Undead Siege, new maps, and more

Activision is getting ready to launch the next season of Call of Duty: Mobile this week. As the current season comes to an end on October 19, Call of Duty: Mobile season 9 will begin on October 21 in India. The next season of Call of Duty: Mobile brings new maps, weapons, and marks the return of Undead Siege.

Call of Duty: Mobile season 9 update is expected to arrive on Thursday, October 21. Based on the launch times of previous updates, the new seasonal update could be available to download from 5:30am IST.

According to Call of Duty: Mobile News, the Chinese version of the game suggests that the upcoming season will be titled Nightmare. As part of the spooky theme, Call of Duty: Mobile season 9 is expected to feature Halloween-themed skins and UI.
Undead Siege
Call of Duty: Mobile’s fan-favourite Zombies experience, Undead Siege, returns in season 9. The game mode is expected to offer new rewards and introduce even more challenging Zombies.

New maps
Call of Duty: Mobile season 9 adds a new map called Hovec Sawmill and brings back Halloween Standoff. Hovec Sawmill is a medium-sized map that features multiple lanes and opportunities for indoor as well as outdoor combat. Meanwhile, Halloween Standoff has pretty much the same layout with several close and long-range combat opportunities and jack-o’-lanterns for Halloween celebrations.

New weapons
The upcoming season of Call of Duty: Mobile brings two new weapons, Thumper and Swordfish. Thumper is a grenade launcher that can score a single-shot kill on direct impact and Swordfish is tactical rifle that first appeared in Black Ops 4. The developer has also revealed a new tactical weapon called Flash Drone, which can be obtained by completing a seasonal challenge. Players can use the Flash Drone to compromise an enemy’s vision.

Season 9 Battle Pass
Similar to every other season, Call of Duty: Mobile season 9 will launch with a new battle pass that is expected to reward players with some spooky cosmetics. Activision has announced a new operator skill called TAK 5 that will help players heal their teammates. The ability will allow players and their teammates to regain full health and gain an extra 50 health boost. Along with these, Call of Duty: Mobile gets a new Battle Royale class, Pumped. Pumped replaces the backpack with a jetpack that allows to jump onto roofs and grants vertical advantage in gunfights.
