Vivo V21 5G India launch inches closer as it passes through BIS certification
Vivo V21 5G India launch seems all but confirmed now. The company has got BIS certification for the upcoming device, which suggests its launch in India is imminent. This update has been shared via tipster Mukul Sharma aka @stufflistings with this tweet, which shows model V2050 from Vivo getting the nod from the Indian authorities. With this launch, Vivo will finally offer 5G-centric mid-range phones in the V series for buyers in the country.

The development comes few days after Vivo V21 5G was spotted on the Indonesia Telecom certification site. As you might know, the Vivo V21 5G is the successor to last year’s V20 series.
The company is likely to share the official Vivo V21 series launch date in India soon. The 5G branding confirms that it will feature either MediaTek Dimensity or Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset that supports the latest connectivity network. And after Realme and Xiaomi launching their mid-range 5G phones, Vivo was expected to join the ranks, sooner rather than later. But besides the name, model, and network support, there is very little to talk about the upcoming V series phone from the brand.
Having said that, rumours indicate Vivo V21 5G will feature an improved camera setup. And going by the design credentials of the V20 series, we expect Vivo to give us another good-looking device that is slim and compact in size.
We are also keen to see if Vivo decides to bring the V21 5G running on Android 11-based Funtouch OS or the new Origin OS. Because it is high time we get a closer look at the new software transition made by the brand recently. And finally, Vivo could equip the V21 5G with support for fast charging, something that has become the norm for most Chinese-branded phones these days.
