Vivo new mobile phones launching in 2021: Vivo X70 series, Vivo V21 5G, Vivo NEX 5, and more

Vivo is known to launch a bunch of new mobile phones in a year, and 2021 is going to be no different. The company is expected to launch 11 new phones in India alone by April 2021. These upcoming Vivo mobile phones are said to be across categories, including mid-range, flagship, and affordable. Among the notables are the Vivo NEX 5, Vivo X70 series, and Vivo V21 5G. Below is the list of each and every Vivo new phone that has been doing the rounds of the rumour mill so far and is likely to launch in India or globally in the next two-to-three months down the line. 1. iQOO Neo 5 and iQOO 7

iQOO 7 series and iQOO Neo 5 both are expected to launch in India in April. The iQOO 7 series has been teased to be a flagship offering with Snapdragon 888 SoC ticking at its core. The series is tipped to include three models, namely iQOO 7, iQOO 7 Legend, and iQOO 7 BMW Motorsport edition. The iQOO 7 specifications in China include a 6.62-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 5G, Android 11-based OriginOS, 48MP triple rear cameras, 16MP selfie snapper, 4,000mAh battery, and 120W fast charging solution.

The iQOO Neo 5, on the other hand, has received a BIS certificate and is all set to make its debut in the country. The handset was originally launched in China with FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 870+ SoC, 8GB RAM, 66W fast-charging support and Android 11 OS out of the box.

2. Vivo S21 5G

Vivo V21 5G launch seems imminent as the handset has been certified by the Indonesian Telecom site. Although the certification hasn’t revealed any new information regarding the phone, we now know that a launch could be just around the corner. The phone is seen carrying the model number V2050 and 5G branding. The Vivo V21 5G specifications remain a mystery at the moment. However, rumours are rife that the handset may come with an upgraded camera setup. The Vivo mobile phone could debut alongside Vivo V21 SE and vanilla Vivo V21.

3. Vivo X70 series

The Vivo X60 series, which was launched in India last month, is all set to be replaced by the new X70 series. Vivo has reportedly started working on the new flagships, which will allegedly be called Vivo X70, X70 Pro, and X70 Pro+. The Vivo X70 series specifications are tipped to include a camera sensor that is bigger than 1/1.28-inch, a 4,500mAh battery, Zeiss optics, 66W fast-charging support, and Samsung E4 AMOLED display. The Vivo X70 Pro+, in particular, is said to come with the Snapdragon 888 chipset. The phones are rumoured to launch in June. That’s all the information we can divulge at the moment!

4. Vivo NEX 5a

The new Vivo NEX-series mobile phone is rumoured to launch sometime in H2 2021. It’ll be called Vivo NEX 5. The smartphone is tipped to feature exciting features such as an under-display selfie camera and a quad-curved display. Additionally, the Vivo NEX 5 could come in two variants. One variant will come with an under-display selfie camera and another with a hole-punch camera. A 32MP selfie camera module will allegedly be used on both models. The Vivo NEX 5 series specifications are also said to include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, a 6.78-inch quad-curved AMOLED panel, and a couple of 50MP Samsung ISOCELL GN2 sensors around the back. The phone could be driven by a 4,500mAh battery. Multiple sources cite different charging speeds, with one source stating that it will be capped at 66W and another insisting that it will be 120W. Its wireless charging speed will be 60W. 

5. Vivo iQOO 9

Vivo iQOO 9 launch is rumoured to be in the second-half of 2021. The smartphone is expected to be a flagship offering, with Snapdragon 888 SoC ticking at its core. iQOO 9 specs are also said to include 120W fast charging solution and dual batteries with a capacity of 2,155mAh each (combined capacity of 4310mAh). That’s all the information we can divulge at the moment.

6. Vivo new phones

In addition to these, a number of upcoming Vivo phones have surfaced on CNIPA China trademark site. These include Vivo X14, X19, X8, X55, X34, X85, and X41, among others.
