Apple has refreshed the Mac Mini with M4 series chips. You can buy the new Mac Mini with M4 and M4 Pro chips. While the M4 variant starts with 16GB RAM and is available in 24GB models too, the M4 Pro variant is available in a single 24GB model only. Apple brandishes the new Mac Mini’s Apple Intelligence support and tiny form factor. Let’s first check out its pricing and availability and then move to the full specifications.

M4 Mac Mini price, sale

The new Mac Mini will go on sale from November 8th in India. But it is available to pre-order now from the Apple website and Apple Store app. 

Here are its pricing details:

• Mac Mini M4 16+ 256GB: Rs 59,900
• Mac Mini M4 16+512GB: Rs 79,900
• Mac Mini M4 24+ 512GB: Rs 99,900
• Mac Mini M4 Pro 24+ 512GB: Rs 1,49,900

M4 Mac Mini specifications

• Design: The cuboid is 0.05m tall and 0.13m wide. It weighs 0.67 kg. It looks like a mini Mac Studio. As you can see in the cover image, it has a revamped thermal design that throws air through the bottom.
• Processor: The M4 series is fabricated on TSMC’s 3nm (N3E) process. The regular M4 comes with a 10-core CPU (4+6) with a 4.30 GHz top clock speed and a 10-core GPU. Meanwhile, the M4 Pro variant comes with a 12-core (4+8) or 14-core (4+10) CPU with the same top clock speed and 16 or 20-core GPU. The GPU is said to have improved architecture for efficiency.
• Memory: As you’ve read already, the M4 model can be equipped with 16 to 32GB LPDDR5x RAM and 256GB to 8TB storage. The M4 Pro model, on the other hand, offers 8 to 32GB RAM and 256GB to 8TB storage. 
• Connectivity: The M4 Mac Mini has 2x USB-C (10Gb/s), a 3.5mm headphone jack, 3x Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, Gigabit Ethernet (configurable to 10 Gigabit), Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.3. The M4 Pro variant has the same setup except for the Thunderbolt 4, you get Thunderbolt 5 ports.
• External displays: You can connect up to 3 external displays with this thing.

M4 Mac Mini: what’s new

Compared to the M2 series Mac Mini, you are getting a smaller and lighter profile, a new exhaust option, two front USB-C ports (instead of rear USB-A ports), and more Thunderbolt 4 ports in the case of the M4 unit but the M4 Pro unit gets one less Thunderbolt 5, HDMI 2.1 on even the regular M4 variant, faster processor, more memory bandwidth, a more powerful NPU (for AI tasks), and AV1 codec support.
