After leaks, the Redmi 14C phone has been officially announced in global markets. The handset arrives as a successor to the Redmi 13C and brings some notable improvements. We get a large 6.88-inch display, HyperOS custom skin out of the box, a 50MP camera and a big 5,160mAh battery capacity on board. Check out the Redmi 14C price and specs details.

• Redmi 14C will have a starting price of $119 (approx Rs 10,000)/3,090,000 VND (around Rs 10,500) for the base model.
• The phone can be purchased in Sage Green (leather back finish), Midnight Black, Dreamy Purple and Starry Blue (starry trail design) colours.
• The phone is now rolling out in markets like Vietnam and will expand to more markets in the days to come.

Redmi 14C specifications, features

Redmi 14C sports a 6.88-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1640 X 720 pixels resolution, up to 600nits peak brightness, 240Hz touch sampling rate, reading mode, TUV Low Blue Light, TUV Flicker-Free certification, and DC dimming. Powering the phone is the MediaTek Helio G81-Ultra paired with Mali G52 MC2 GPU for graphics. 

The handset will be available in multiple configurations: 4GB+128GB, 4GB+256GB, 6GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB and a microSD card slot for memory expansion. The phone houses a 5160mAh battery with 18W fast charging support and boots Android 14-based HyperOS custom skin out of the box.

Moving to cameras, the Redmi 14C has a 50MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and a secondary lens. We get a 13MP shooter on the front for selfies and video chats. There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a USB Type-C port.

Redmi 14C: what’s new

Firstly, the Redmi 14C brings forth a large 6.88-inch display. In comparison, the Redmi 13C has a slightly smaller 6.74-inch screen and the refresh rate is bumped from 90Hz to 120Hz. However, the resolution remains the same at HD+. The increase in display size made the Redmi 14C slightly heavy at up to 211 grams compared to 192 grams on the Redmi 13C.

The MediaTek Helio G85 SoC is replaced by the Helio G81-Ultra chipset. The 8MP front camera on the Redmi 13C is replaced with a 13MP unit, which should result in slightly sharper selfies. The 50MP primary camera remains intact. The battery capacity is slightly bumped from 5,000mAh unit on the Redmi 13C to 5,160mAh on the Redmi 14C.
