The Realme 13+ comes in a dual-tone finish with a textured pattern. It is available in three shades: Dark Purple, Victory Gold, and Speed Green. The device has an IP65 rating for protection against dust and water splashes.

 On the other hand, the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion comes with a textured vegan leather finish with the Marshmallow Blue and Hot Pink editions, while the Forstest Blue variant has a matte finish. It offers better protection against dust and water with its IP68 rating and is suitable for use in rain.

The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion only scored 6,20,648 points, while the Realme 13+ got 7,39,074 points on AnTuTu. On Geekbench, the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion achieved 1,020 points in the single-core test with 2,945 points in the multi-core test, compared to the Realme 13+’s 1,050 and 2,957 scores in the single-core and multi-core tests, respectively.

The Realme 13+ packs a bigger 5,500mAh battery than the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion’s 5,000mAh cell. As a result, the Realme 13+ lasted longer in the PCMark battery test than the Edge 50 Fusion. The Realme 13+ ran for 10 hours and 37 minutes, while the Edge 50 Fusion lasted 9 hours and 53 minutes.

The Realme 13+ also has better 80W charging support than the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion’s 68W charging speed. In our testing, the Realme 13+ took 31 minutes to charge from 20 percent to 100 percent, while the Edge 50 Fusion did the same in 54 minutes. However, the latter has a Charge Boost mode that lets you fully charge the device in just 36 minutes.

The Realme 13+ runs on Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14, while the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion offers stock Android 14. Realme promises two major Android OS releases and three years of security updates, while Motorola promises three years of Android updates and four years of security patches with the Edge 50 Fusion. 

The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion comes with Moto AI features: a photo enhancement engine, video stabilisation, and AI wallpapers. Realme claims that the 13+’s AI features can optimise its performance and deliver a smoother software experience.

Verdict

Both phones have their own set of pros and cons. The choice between the two boils down to your preferences. If you want a well-protected and smoother curved display, the ability to use the phone in the rain, longer software support, and better camera setup, the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is a better pick. However, if you want a better display panel, superior performance, longer battery backup, and faster charging speed, go with the Realme 13+.
