iQOO rises to the top in user satisfaction with phone’s speed, cameras, and VFM: 91mobiles Great Indian Smartphone Survey 2024

In our 91mobiles Great Indian Smartphone Survey 2024, we asked the users about their satisfaction pertaining to various smartphone attributes. This helped us identify the brands that are currently excelling in providing the best user experience. Among these brands, iQOO came on top and led in areas such as best phone speed, reliable cameras, and the most value-for-money devices. Let’s dive into insights and takeaways garnered from the responses of over 8,000 survey participants.

iQOO witnessed a boost in ownership share

• iQOO not only took the lead in various areas of user satisfaction but also grew its users over the past year, per 91mobiles’ research data.
• iQOO had an ownership share of 1.8 percent in last year’s 91mobiles Great Indian Smartphone Survey, which has increased to 3.5 percent. This is based on the responses of the survey participants.
• A similar trend can be observed in IDC’s Q2 2024 smartphone market share report in which iQOO achieved a year-over-year growth of 31.6 percent.

iQOO came on top in user satisfaction

When asked about the aspects they were most satisfied with on their phones, iQOO gained the highest number of votes in key aspects such as the phone’s speed, rear cameras, and offering the most value-for-money devices.

It also scored high in other areas such as display capabilities, battery, and overall user satisfaction.

iQOO offers the most pleasing experience when it comes to phone speeds

• 76.2 percent of iQOO users claim to be highly satisfied with the speed of their phones. This is the highest among all smartphone brands in India.
• Compared to last year, iQOO phones were prioritised by 73.4 percent of users in our Great Indian Smartphone Survey 2023.
• This indicates that Funtouch OS, the software skin used by iQOO on top of Android is greatly optimised for speed and swiftness.

iQOO scored high in terms of battery reliability

• When it comes to battery endurance, Motorola and OnePlus take the lead. However, iQOO is not far behind as 55.9 percent of its users claim to be satisfied with the battery backup they are getting on their phones.
• Upon glancing through iQOO’s portfolio, most smartphones released by the brand come with a minimum of 5,000mAh battery capacity. Moreover, the newly launched iQOO Z9s and iQOO Z9s Pro pack in a 5,500mAh battery.

iQOO lead the charts in rear camera satisfaction and offers reliable selfies

• With the ever-increasing popularity of mobile photography, iQOO leads the way in rear camera satisfaction. 69.7 percent of its users are pleased with the camera capabilities.
• This could be a result of good camera optimisation and utilisation of Vivo’s algorithms which allow iQOO smartphones to deliver crisp outputs in various scenarios.
• Similarly, iQOO sits in the top four positions when it comes to delivering a satisfactory experience with the front camera.

iQOO phones pack high-quality display panels

• Much like other aspects, iQOO has achieved high numbers in terms of display satisfaction among its users. It sits in the fourth position with 69.7 percent of its users adorning the display of their iQOO smartphone.
• Right above iQOO in the display capabilities aspect are OnePlus, Nothing, and Apple.

iQOO ranked high as the most value-for-money brand

• Upon asking the survey participants how they would rate their smartphone in the value-for-money aspect, iQOO came on top with 85.2 percent of people picking it over other brands.
• This is evident by how aggressively the company prices its smartphones in India while providing segment-leading processors, high battery capacities, and a reliable set of cameras.
• For instance, the iQOO 12 is one of the most affordable Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered phones in India even after months of its launch. Similarly, the iQOO Z9 and Z9x pack in powerful processors under the sub-Rs 20,000 segment.

iQOO smartphone users overall enjoy a delightful experience

• To know which smartphone brand has the highest overall satisfied users, we asked the participants about how satisfied they are with their current handset.
• Per the results, 63.9 percent of iQOO users declared that they are happy with their current phones. However, Nothing goes ahead of iQOO in this regard with a percentage share of 66.7.
• Since iQOO has come on top in various user satisfaction areas, as seen above, it was expected for the performance-oriented brand to score high in overall user satisfaction.
