The Motorola Edge 50 Neo specifications have been made official after weeks of leaks and reports. The smartphone was launched silently in the UK and it’s available in a single RAM and storage variant. It’s the most affordable model in the Edge 50 series and the most compact as well. Here are all the details about the latest Edge series phone. 

Motorola Edge 50 Neo price, availability

  • The Motorola Edge 50 Neo comes in a single 12GB + 512GB variant, which is priced at 449.99 GBP (Rs 49,872 approx). 
  • The smartphone comes in three Pantone-certified colours: Poinciana, Lattè, Grisaille, and Nautical Blue.
  • Motorola is expected to launch the Edge 50 Neo in other markets including India, soon. 

Motorola Edge 50 Neo: what’s new?

Motorola Edge 50 Neo is the latest to join the Edge series. It succeeded last year’s Edge 40 Neo with some notable upgrades. The biggest upgrade would be the triple-camera setup on the Edge 50 Neo as it gets a 10MP telephoto lens. The smartphone also comes with a newer and faster chipset. Motorola has also upgraded the brightness level to 3,000 nits from 1,300. 

There are some downgrades though including the refresh rate which is now capped at 120Hz. On the Edge 40 Neo, it’s 144Hz. The battery capacity has also been reduced to 4,310mAh from 5,000mAh.

  • Cameras: 50MP primary camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), 13MP ultra-wide/macro camera, 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, 32MP front camera.
  • Battery, charging: 4,310mAh battery, 68W wired fast charging, 15W wireless charging. 
  • Software: Android 14 with Hello UI.
  • Durability: IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, MIL-STD 810H certification.
  • Other features: Dual speakers with Dolby Atmos, NFC, USB Type-C port, in-display fingerprint sensor.
