Phones launched in India this week: CMF Phone 1, Reno 12 series, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and more

The second week of July has kept the tech enthusiasts quite busy with several smartphone launches, ranging from flagship, and mid-range to budget offerings. We have the most-anticipated launches like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 and the much-hyped CMF Phone 1. We bring you the list of phones launched in India this week.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6

Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 at the Unpacked event in Paris. These have the same design as the predecessor and bring improvements only in certain aspects, including a newer chipset. 

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 specs

• Display: 7.6-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex Display with a 120Hz refresh rate. 6.3-inch HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X 120Hz cover display.

• Cameras: 12MP ultra-wide camera, 50MP wide-angle camera, 10MP telephoto camera. 10MP selfie camera, 4MP under-display camera.

• OS: Android 14-based OneUI 6.1.1.

Price: The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is priced at Rs 164,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant, Rs 176,999 for the 12GB/512GB model, and Rs 200,999 for the 12GB + 1TB variant.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 specs

• Display: 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X 120Hz Infinity Flex Display. 3.4-inch Super AMOLED 60Hz cover display. 
• Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. 
• Cameras: 12MP ultra-wide camera, 50MP wide-angle camera, 10MP selfie camera.
• RAM/Storage: Up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB internal storage.
• Battery: 4,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support.
• OS: Android 14-based One UI 6.1.1.

Price: The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 is priced at Rs 109,999 for the 12GB+256GB variant and Rs 121,999 for the 12GB + 512GB model.

Lava Blaze X

Lava Blaze X is the company’s new budget offering in the country. The handset sits alongside the Lava Blaze Curve 5G, which debuted in March this year.

• Display: 6.67-inch FHD+ 3D curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 800 nits of peak brightness.
• Processor: MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC.
• RAM/Storage: 4GB+128GB, 6GB+128GB, and 8GB+128GB. 
• OS: Android 14 OS out of the box and will get Android 15 upgrade this year.
• Camera: 64MP main camera and a 2MP macro sensor. 16MP selfie camera. 
• Battery: 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.

Price: Rs 14,999 for the 4GB+128GB variant, Rs 15,999 for the 6GB+128GB model and Rs 16,999 for the 8GB+128GB variant.

Redmi 13 5G

Redmi’s latest launch in India is the Redmi 13 5G and this arrives as a successor to the Redmi 12 5G. It is also the first phone in its price range with a glass design on the back and front.

Moto G85 5G

The Moto G85 5G is the new G-series in India from the Lenovo-owned brand. The handset found its way to India after debuting globally and in China as Moto S50 Neo. This comes as a successor to the Moto G84.

Price: Rs 17,999 for the base version with 8GB/128GB version and Rs 19,999 for the 12GB/256GB model.

OPPO Reno 12 5G series

OPPO has finally launched the Reno 12 series in India and has two models: the Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro. More than the specifications, OPPO is promoting the built-in AI features, including the AI Eraser 2.0, AI Clear Face, AI Studio, and others.

• Display: 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1200 nits peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass 7i. The Pro version features Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
• Processor: MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy processor with Mali-G615 MC2 GPU
• RAM/Storage: 8GB (Reno12 only) / 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB/512GB UFS 3.1 storage.
• OS: Android 14-based ColorOS custom skin. 3 Android OS updates
• Reno 12 Pro Cameras: 50MP Sony LYT600 primary sensor with OIS, 50MP telephoto camera with 2X optical zoom, 8MP ultra-wide camera, 50MP front camera.
• Reno 12 cameras: 50MP Sony LYT600 primary camera with OIS, 8MP ultra-wide camera, 2MP macro camera, 32MP front camera.
• Battery: 5,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. 

Price: Rs 32,999 for the sole OPPO Reno 12 8GB + 256GB variant. While the OPPO Reno 12 Pro costs Rs 36,999 for the 12GB + 256GB model and Rs 40,999 for the 12GB + 512GB model.

Tecno Spark 20 Pro

Tecno has launched a new Spark series phone in India this week dubbed the Tecno Spark 20 Pro.

• Processor: MediaTek Dimensity 6080 chipset with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.

• OS: Android 14-based HiOS 14.
• Cameras: 108MP primary camera, 2MP depth sensor, auxiliary lens, 8MP front camera.

Price: Rs 15,999 for the 8GB/128GB and Rs 16,999 for the 8GB/256GB model.

CMF Phone 1

CMF is a sub-brand of the young tech startup, Nothing. The company has launched its first phone, the CMF Phone 1. The company only had audio and a smartwatch under its portfolio.

• Processor: MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset.
• RAM/Storage: Up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
• OS: Nothing OS 2.6 based on Android 14. 
• Cameras: 50MP main camera with EIS, 2MP portrait sensor with 2x zoom, 16MP front camera.
• Battery: 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging and 5W reverse wired charging.

Price: Rs 15,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model and Rs 17,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB version.

Vivo Y28s and Vivo Y28e

Vivo has launched two new Y-series phones in India this week, the Vivo Y28s and Vivo Y28e. These are almost identical except for hardware differences in cameras.

• Display: 6.56-inch HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, and up to 840 nits peak brightness.
• Processor: MediaTek Dimensity 6100 6nm processor with Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.
• RAM/Storage: 4GB/6GB/8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 internal storage, further expandable up to 1TB.
• Battery: 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.
• OS: Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14.
• Vivo Y28s Cameras: 50MP primary camera, secondary rear sensor, 8MP front camera.
• Vivo Y28e: 13MP primary camera, secondary lens, 5MP front camera.

Price: The Vivo Y28s is priced at Rs 13,999 for the 4GB+128GB variant, Rs 15,499 for the 6GB+128GB model, and Rs 16,999 for the 8GB+128GB version.

The Vivo Y28e is priced at Rs 10,999 for the 4GB+64GB variant and Rs 11,999 for the 4GB+128GB model.
