OPPO seems to be working on a new phone with an iPhone 12-like rear camera island. It could be an OPPO A-series smartphone, industry sources tell 91mobiles. We have obtained exclusive images and key details of the upcoming OPPO device from our industry sources. We have also spotted this OPPO phone on popular certification sites like the BIS and Camera FV-5. Check it out:

New OPPO phone design details

• We get to see the OPPO phone from different angles in the below images, which tell us its buttons, ports, and rear camera placement.

• The money shot is where we see its rear camera island look like the one on modern iPhones, particularly the iPhone 12. Its two cameras are arranged vertically, and right next to them lies a flashlight module.
• The bottom side has a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microphone slit, a USB-C port, and a speaker grille.
• On the right side, we can see its power button and volume rocker. We are also told the phone will get a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, suggesting this will be an affordable device with an LCD panel instead of an AMOLED one.
• The sides are flat with chamfered edges.
• Coming to the front, our source claim a 120Hz full HD+ display with a centered punch-hole cutout.

OPPO CPH2681 on BIS, Camera FV-5

We recently saw an OPPO phone with model number CPH2681 on India’s BIS and Camera FV 5 listing. This phone is believed to be the device seen above.

CPH2681 is listed on BIS along with CPH2693

While the BIS listing confirms the phone is getting ready for an India launch, the Camera FV-5 sighting is more revealing:

• Although the physical sensor size isn’t disclosed, we gather the primary camera has a 27.4 mm focal length, ƒ/2.0 aperture and supports EIS. 
• The front camera sensor size is also behind the curtain but we see it has a 27.7 mm focal length, ƒ/2.2 aperture and EIS support.
