An alleged iPhone 16 photo has appeared in the wild, which is more likely a dummy unit. However, from this photo, we gather the possible design details of the phone including its colour. It is decked up in black paint and interestingly so, black is one of the vanilla iPhone 16’s rumoured colours.

Leaked iPhone 16 black variant photo

• This photo was shared by leaker Majin Bu on X.com. In the photo, we see an iPhone with a vertical camera setup. The familiar square camera island with the diagonal camera setup is gone.

• The phone’s size and the dual cameras suggest it is a regular iPhone 16.
• The flashlight module is sitting outside the pill-shaped island.
• There’s also the Apple logo on its back.
• Besides this, we also notice the phone’s boxy design with rounded corners.

Rumoured iPhone 16 series colours 

• As per renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 16 and the iPhone 16 Plus could come in black, blue, pink, green, and white colours.
• The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus come in black, green, pink, blue, and yellow colours. So, it looks like white will replace the yellow from its predecessors. 
• Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max could come in black, white (or silver), grey (or Natural Titanium) and rose (Rose Titanium). That last one could be the brand new colour replacing last year’s iPhone 15 Pro series’ Blue Titanium colour.
• Kuo addresses this renaming of colours and says even if Apple doesn’t rename a colour this time, the tone and appearance could differ from its previous iteration.

Other rumoured features of the regular iPhone 16 include an Action button (along with its Plus and Pro siblings), a Capture button for quickly recording videos, adjusting focus, zooming in and out of the frame, etc, and spatial video recording support.
