Motorola has announced price cuts on its two foldable smartphones — Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra. The two devices launched in India this July as the company’s latest offering in the foldable segment. Both feature a clamshell folding design with the Ultra offering a larger cover display. Now, Moto Razr 40 Ultra and Razr 40 are cheaper by Rs 10,000 in India.

Moto Razr 40 Ultra, Razr 40 price cut India

  • Moto Razr 40 Ultra launched in India at Rs 89,999 for the single 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant.
  • After the price cut, this foldable is now available at Rs 79,999.
  • As for the Moto Razr 40, you can now purchase it a reduced price of Rs 49,999 after a price cut on its original price of Rs 59,999.

Both foldables can be purchased on Amazon India, and leading retail stores. The Moto Razr 40 Ultra is available in two colour options of Infinite Black and Viva Magenta. The Razr 40 has three colour options of Sage Green, Summer Lilac, and Vanilla Cream.

Motorola had also introduced the Razr 40 foldables in the new Pantone Color of the Year 2024, PANTONE 13-1023 ‘Peach Fuzz’. This colour variant is yet to arrive in India though. 

Moto Razr 40 Ultra specs

  • Display: Moto Razr 40 Ultra features a 6.9-inch FHD+ pOLED LTPO display with a 165Hz refresh rate, and a 3.6-inch pOLED cover display with a 144Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. 
  • Processor: This foldable is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. 
  • RAM and storage: It comes in a single 8GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage variant.
  • Cameras: On the Razr 40 Ultra, you get a 12MP primary camera with OIS and a 13MP ultra-wide angle lens. For selfies, you get a 32MP front camera.  
  • Battery, charging: The foldable packs a 3,800mAh battery with 30W fast wired charging and 5W wireless charging support. 
  • Software: On the software front, the Razr 40 Ultra runs Android 13 out-of-the-box.

  • Processor: Under the foldable runs the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor. 
  • RAM and storage: The Razr 40 too comes in a single 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant.
  • Cameras: It has a 64MP primary camera with OIS, and a 13MP ultra-wide angle lens. This one too sports a 32MP front camera for selfies.
  • Battery, charging: The phone packs a 4,200mAh battery with 33W wired fast charging and 5W wireless charging support. 
  • Software: On the software front, the Razr 40 runs Android 13 with MyUX on top. 

Should you buy?

The Moto Razr 40 Ultra and Razr 40 were already in the more affordable category for foldables in India. With the new price cut, the Razr 40 is now one of the cheapest foldables here. Even the Ultra model is much cheaper than its rivals that offer a large cover display. Both foldables come in a stylish design, and decent specs are only a few months old. If you are planning to grab a new foldable, you can definitely go for the Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra.
