OnePlus Open and OPPO Find N3 are the same device, company confirms
As leaked renders suggested the OnePlus Open, the company’s first foldable, is a rebranded OPPO Find N3 for the global market. OnePlus confirmed this while also revealing that OnePlus co-founder and OPPO Chief Product Officer Mr Pete Lau directed teams at both companies to work on the folding phone in tandem with an aim to launch it under both brands in different markets.
OnePlus Open and OPPO Find N3: same phone, different names, different markets
In an email to The Verge, OnePlus finally addressed the fact that it and its sister concern OPPO are launching the same foldable device under different names. Although not specified, the OPPO Find N3 is believed to stay exclusive to the Chinese market while the OnePlus Open could be released in international markets.
OnePlus Open is set to launch globally on October 19th. The foldable is also expected to come to India as it was recently spotted in the hands of Indian actress Anushka Sharma.
OnePlus Open aka OPPO Find N3 specifications (expected)
