Flipkart reportedly selling Samsung Galaxy S21 FE Exynos variant at deal price instead of Snapdragon 888 version
A controversy seems to have erupted surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE deal in the Flipkart Big Billion Days sale. Users are claiming on X (formerly Twitter) that Flipkart / Samsung are actually selling the Galaxy S21 FE Exynos 2100 variant at the teased deal price, instead of the Snapdragon 888 version that they’d earlier claimed.
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE deal: users slam Flipkart
Flipkart had teased the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 2023 smartphone with the Snapdragon 888 chipset would be available at just Rs 29,999, a deal that sounded pretty good on paper. For context, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE originally launched in India with the Exynos 2100 chipset in January 2022, while the Snapdragon 888 variant came to the country only in July this year. Interestingly, when the Snapdragon variant made its way to India, the Exynos 2100 version was removed from stock online and offline, but seems to have come back now.
While the Snapdragon 888 may not be new, an almost 50 percent discount in price made it a decent buy. Now, two days into the sale (including 1-day early access), users are claiming Flipkart has silently replaced the Snapdragon 888 variant with the less-powerful Exynos 2100 model in the deal.
If you search in flipkart, sd888 variant will comeup but problem is they silently increased price by 2000 and Samsung never launched 128gb version with sd888 in s21 fe only exynos was launched in both variant. Samsung support tells the same i saw in some other tweet. Its a scam

The previously advertised teaser from Flipkart can be seen below:
Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE Snapdragon 888 variant is selling at Rs 31,999 on Flipkart, Rs 2,000 more than the advertised price, which is still a discount from the Rs 49,999 price tag at which it was launched. Only the Exynos 2100 model is available at Rs 29,999 on Flipkart. To give the companies the benefit of the doubt, there is a possibility that the Galaxy S21 FE Snapdragon 888 version may have been available at the teased price for a short time, and the deal may have been modified later, but there’s no certainty. Flipkart or Samsung have not officially commented on the issue yet.
Those who closely follow tech will know and spot the difference in chipsets from the listings, but non-tech regular buyers would be confused and will most probably end up buying the Exynos variant instead of the Snapdragon chipset. If you’re looking to buy the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, be sure to double-check which chipset you are purchasing.
However, you can consider the following alternatives if you’re in doubt about the deal now.
