Following a series of leaks and speculations, Xiaomi officially introduced the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro earlier this week in China as the first smartphones to feature the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. These are also the first to feature Xiaomi’s new HyperOS software, which has replaced MIUI.

The Xiaomi 14 is launched in four storage variants:
- 8GB+256GB model, priced at CNY 3,999 (approx Rs 45,500)
- 12GB+256GB storage, priced at CNY 4,299 (around Rs 48,900)
- 16GB+512GB storage, priced at CNY 4,599 (about Rs 52,300)
- 16GB+1TB storage, priced at CNY 4,999 (approx Rs 56,900)
The Xiaomi 13 was also launched in China with similar variants and prices. In India, the brand brought the Xiaomi 13 Pro model and skipped the vanilla Xiaomi 13. It will be interesting to see if Xiaomi takes a similar route with the Xiaomi 14 series as well.

Design
- The Xiaomi 14 offers a punch-hole display for the selfie camera.
- The screen has very thin bezels, which enhances its overall look.
