OnePlus Buds 3 renders and specifications leak: 22 hours battery life, ANC, and more

OnePlus Buds 3 could be the new pair of TWS earphones from OnePlus. It could be a step down from the OnePlus Buds Pro 2. Although we don’t when it will be launching, we have an idea of the Buds 3 features and design thanks to the newly leaked renders and specifications. 

Let’s start talking about its design.

OnePlus Buds 3 renders (leaked)

As per the leaked renders from OnLeaks via MySmartPrice, the Buds 3 has the same in-ear tip and a moderately long stem. The renders show a pair of mostly dark grey earbuds with a metallic finish. The ear-facing part has a different colour. The cutouts are also in similar places.

The good news is that the Buds 3 is said to be only 4.77 grams including both the case and the earbuds. So, it is going to be lighter than the Buds Pro 2.

OnePlus Buds 3 specifications (leaked)

• Audio: The driver setup could consist of a 10.4mm woofer and a 6mm tweeter. The woofer size is a tad smaller than the Buds Pro 2’s.
• ANC: The active noise cancellation capability seems to be up to 48dB just like the Pro 2.

• Battery: With ANC on, the case (520mAh) plus buds (58mAh) combo can last 22 hours while with ANC off, the duration increases to 33 hours. The battery life just out of the buds is the same as the Pro 2: 6 hours with ANC on and 9 hours with ANC off. So, even with a smaller-sized battery inside the buds somehow manage to last the same as before.

• Charging: The source claims the Buds 3 can give 5 hours of listening time from just 10 minutes of charging. 
• Ingress rating: The earbuds could come with an IP55 rating against dust and water, while the case could sport an IPX4 certification.
• Connectivity: Buds 3 could feature Bluetooth v5.3, Google Fast pair, and dual connection support, all of which are also present on the Buds Pro 2.
