Nothing Phone (2) gets Nothing OS 2.0.2 update: what’s new, how to install
Released back in July, the much-hyped Nothing Phone (2) is now receiving its second software update. This comes as an additional update to the camera-focused update that was rolled out around mid-July. The latest software update is labelled as Nothing OS 2.0.2, and it brings improvements to image clarity. The update also brings a feature that can shut down apps when the device reaches its temperature limit.
Nothing OS 2.0.2 update
- The Nothing Phone 2 update offers better contrast, improved bokeh, and optimises the clarity of faces in portrait mode, and also improves the HDR processing speed.
- The update optimises the stability and contrast when recording videos from the rear camera.
- The update also refines the out-of-battery visual when the device is switched off and added different icons for each of the Nothing audio products to volume control.
- A new haptic feedback strength when typing, improved responsiveness of the touchscreen and network reliability for multiple global carriers.
- The update also enhances the performance of some games when played in HDR. There is also an overall improvement in system stability.
- The phone is also updated to Google’s July security patch.
The issues that are fixed through the update include one that was affecting Googe Wallet’s functioning in cloned apps. It also fixes this issue that causes ‘double tap to wake’ to be unresponsive occasionally, and an issue causing the Bluetooth Quick Setting tile to be unresponsive at times and other general bug fixes.
