Honor India comeback is now official; Madhav Sheth confirmed to lead
Honor has been rumoured of bringing back its smartphone business in India, and under the leadership of ex-Realme India head, Madhav Sheth. Honor and Madhav Sheth himself have now made this official by teasing the awaited comeback. Honor was one of the popular Chinese smartphone brands in India but its smartphone business took a hit because of US sanctions.
Honor India comeback officially teased
Honor India announced the comeback on X (Twitter), which was reposted by Madhav Sheth. The comeback announcement doesn’t reveal much other than confirming that there will be upcoming launches. But it’s expected to be a rebranding of sorts for Honor’s smartphone business in India since there have been many changes so far.
Previously, it was reported that Madhav Sheth filed a new trademark for “Honor for Knights” that has mobile phones and accessories listed under it. Sheth’s Twitter bio which says, “When is the KNIGHT coming?” hinting at the possibility of ‘Knight’ having to do something with the next product or series name.
Honor 90 India launch (Expected)
Although there hasn’t been any official announcement yet, that hasn’t stopped leaks and rumours from spreading about the first possible smartphone launch, the Honor 90. This smartphone has already launched in China, and it’s expected to debut in India around mid-September.
It’s also speculated to cost around Rs 45,000 in India. This is much higher than how much the Honor 90 sells in China for, which is CNY 2,499 (approx Rs 28,705). Based on the speculations of the Honor 90, it’s a mid-range phone so a price tag of Rs 45,000 doesn’t make sense. But things are all under speculation so it’s best to wait for the official announcement.
