The iPhone 15 series launch event date has seemingly been revealed, although an official confirmation from Apple is awaited. The Cupertino-based tech giant usually launches its new iPhones in September and this year might not be different despite recent reports that the launch event could be delayed. A new report now suggests the iPhone 15 event will take place on September 13th.

Apple iPhone 15 launch date details 

According to a report by 9to5Mac, mobile carriers in the US have been asking employees not to take a day off on September 13th due to a major smartphone announcement. The smartphone brand isn’t known yet but it’s speculated to be Apple considering the launch timeline of its iPhones.

Now, some might say that Apple usually holds its events on Tuesdays, and September 13th is a Wednesday, but last year’s iPhone event was also on a Wednesday. But again this is all speculation, and nothing has been confirmed by Apple so far. 

iPhone 15 launch delay reports

Apple could also face a possible delay in the new iPhones, according to a recent report. Apple is reportedly facing issues that could push the launch ahead to Q4, which would fall between October and December. Reports also suggest the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models will be available in limited quantities at launch. But another report by The Information suggests that the September launch will go as planned but there would shortage of iPhone units.

With less than two months to go for the new iPhones to launch, we should get some official confirmation soon. As for the upcoming iPhones, a total of four models are expected — iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Other than incremental upgrades, the new iPhones are expected to feature USB-C ports making it a first for iPhones. Apple is reportedly replacing the mute switch with a new ‘Action’ button that can be customised for different tasks.
