[Exclusive] Upcoming HP Envy-series laptop to feature IMAX-supported display; priced below Rs 1 lakh
It looks like HP is planning something big. According to industry sources, the company is planning to offer an IMAX-supported display in its new Envy series of laptops. It would make it the world’s first laptop to offer such features. Our sources also tell us that the laptop would be priced under Rs 1 lakh, which would make it quite reasonably priced considering what it has to offer.
HP Envy laptops’ expected features
Our sources also gave us a few clues as to what else we can expect from the upcoming HP Envy laptops. The most obvious bit is that the new laptops will be available with the latest Intel and AMD processors. While our sources did not mention which exact processors will be used, they did mention that it will be aimed at mainstream content creators. So one can expect them to be fairly powerful machines. This also makes sense when you add the IMAX-supported display into the mix.
Coming to the display, the upcoming HP Envy laptops are expected to offer a 15-inch OLED touchscreen and the company aims to offer the complete IMAX sight and sound experience with its exclusive expanded aspect ratio. Not only that, but the laptop will also offer the exclusive IMAX version of select Marvel Studios and Pixar titles on the Disney+ Hotstar streaming service.
The launch date of the new HP Envy laptops is not yet known, but one can assume that it won’t be too far out. Hopefully, HP will shed more light on the upcoming laptops soon. Meanwhile, HP recently released a bunch of gaming laptops. This included the HP Omen 16, HP Omen 16 Transcend edition, and the HP Victus 16 gaming laptops. All three of the laptops offered 16-inch panels, 13th Gen Intel Core processors, and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4000 series GPUs. You can learn more about those laptops here.
