Nothing Phone (2) roundup: Launch date price specifications design and everything we know so far
Nothing Phone 2 is the company’s upcoming premium offering from the brand. The handset will arrive as a successor to the Nothing Phone (1). Unlike the predecessor, the Phone (2) will be a premium offering with a Snapdragon 8-series chipset. The handset will retain the same transparent back design and LED strip lights.
We only hope the company plays around with the LED light settings to make full use of this aesthetic functionality. Ahead of the launch, here’s a quick round-up of the Nothing Phone (2) price, launch date, specifications and much more.
Nothing Phone (2) Design
- The Nothing Phone (2) has a left-positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie shooter and slim bezels. The screen is not curved.
- The USB Type-C port, SIM tray section, and speaker grill are at the bottom. A transparent cable, teased by Pei, will be bundled.
- The power button is on the right spine, while the volume rocker is on the left edge.
- Moving to the back, you find dual camera sensors like the predecessor and an LED flash. The phone will also have wireless charging support.
- The handset features a transparent back panel design with LED strips.
- The Nothing Phone (2) will be available in Black and White colours.
Nothing Phone (2) launch date
Nothing Phone (2) is confirmed to launch on July 11th in global markets and in India. The phone will be sold via Flipkart online.
Nothing Phone (2) price (expected)
- Nothing Phone (2) price in India is not officially revealed at the moment. However, a recent leak in France suggested the Nothing Phone (2) will start at €729 (Rs 65,600 approx) for the base model, with 256GB storage.
- The same source suggests there will be a 512GB model too this time around, which is expected to cost €849 (Rs 76,400 approx).
- The Nothing Phone (1) launched at €469 for the entry-level model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, almost half of the leaked price.
- Nothing Founder Carl Pei reacted to the leak, but neither confirmed or denied it, just saying “Who did this?”
Nothing Phone (2) specifications (expected)
- Display: The Nothing Phone (2) will feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an in-display fingerprint sensor. the screen size is marginally larger than Phone (1).
- Processor: The Phone (2) will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 SoC paired with Adreno GPU.
- RAM and Storage: The Nothing Phone (2) is tipped to launch in three variants of 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 256GB.
- OS: The Nothing Phone (2) is likely to boot Android 13 OS with Nothing OS 2.0 out of the box.
- Cameras: The Nothing Phone (2) is expected to feature a 50MP primary camera with OIS. But the secondary camera sensor details are under wraps. The front could house at least a 16MP shooter for selfies and video chats.
- Battery: The phone will come with a 4,700mAh battery but the charging speed details are under wraps.
- Connectivity: 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.
