Meta-owned WhatsApp is working on developing several new features for its users. Beta testers can now access the latest update, version 2.23.10.10, via the Google Play Store. Not just that, WhatsApp has added a new Web beta feature that lets users edit messages, and a small number of beta users are testing this feature. Take a look at the details.

Use WhatsApp on smartwatch

After downloading the latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android from the Google Play Store, some users noticed that the app could be used with their smartwatches, especially Wear OS.

As you can see in the picture above, when you try to link your account to a Wear OS device, WhatsApp will ask you what you want to do. You have to be a beta user in order to get the app. To use it, open the Google Play Store and update the app to the current version, which is 2.23.10.10 for WhatsApp beta for Android.

When you link your smartwatch app to your WhatsApp account, an 8-digit code will appear on your watch and ask you to enter it on your computer. After you enter the code, your chats will be safely shared across all of your devices, so you can start using WhatsApp on your smartwatch. Keep in mind that texting on the smartwatch app still uses end-to-end encryption because it works on more than one device.

WhatsApp’s Web app has gotten a new beta update that lets users modify messages even after they’ve been sent. After sending a message to other users, the function can be used in just a few minutes.

WABetaInfo saw the feature running on the web app and found out that users will have 15 minutes after sending a message to a person or a group to change it. Users can also change a message more than once in the 15-minute window.

To use the “Edit Message” action button, users must long-press on a message they sent in a group. If you tap on it, you’ll be asked to modify the message in a new window.
