Citadel

One of the most awaited thriller Web series of 2023, especially in India, is Citadel. The reason behind that is Priyanka Chopra’s comeback to the silver screen in a leading role. Other than Chopra, the cast includes names like Richard Madden and Stanley Tucci. The movie revolves around an international spy agency, Citadel, which has collapsed as its agents have their memories erased. The villainous syndicate Manticore is rising, as the agents try to join the dots and get to it before the syndicate gets the better of them and the world. With this series, Amazon Prime Video is following a weekly release schedule, and the response for the first few episodes has been mixed.

Well, the director makes sure this tale is full of twists and suspense with a brilliant cast that includes names like Anurag Thakur, Pankaj Saraswat, Vyom Yadav, Anushka Kaushik, and more. It is a dark tale, something which Dhulia is acclaimed for.

Beef

Possibly one of the best Web series to come out in 2023 yet is Netflix’s Beef. What starts off and feels like a comedy drama is actually a solid thriller in disguise. Plus, with actors like Steven Yeun, Ali Wong, and Joseph Lee in the mix, this is the Asian-American comedy thriller everyone was waiting for. Talking about the story, Beef revolves around two people in a road rage incident who cannot get the incident out of their minds as it consumes their lifestyles completely.

Based on an artist who discovers that printing fake currency notes is the best way for him to get rich, Farzi shows how the criminals and police must think one step ahead of each other in an attempt to dupe the other. With the mastery of directors Raj & DK, this is a crime-comedy series that is sure to make you laugh even during the cruellest of scenes.

The Night Manager (Hindi)

The Night Manager in Hindi is about a former Navy officer Shaan Sengupta must blend in as a night manager at five-star hotels, in an attempt to avenge his girlfriend’s death. If action is your thing, The Night Manager is all sorts of awesome with some superb acting performances by the lead actors, a suspenseful plot with twists and turns, and a soundtrack that keeps you gripped until the very end. Must watch!
