Vivo Y78+ spotted on Google Play Supported Devices list, moniker revealed
Vivo is reportedly in the works to launch a new Y-series smartphone, dubbed the Vivo Y78+ in the market. The Vivo Y78+ is said to launch in China sometime during April 2023. Ahead of launch, the device has been spotted on the Google Play Supported Devices list, which not only confirms its moniker, but also suggests that the launch of the device is imminent. Let’s take a look at what all we know about the upcoming Vivo Y78+ smartphone so far.
Vivo Y78+ visits Google Play Supported Devices list
As seen in the Google Play Supported Devices listing, the Vivo Y78+ (with the model number Vivo V2271A/PD2271) has recently been listed, thereby confirming its moniker. The device is likely to launch next month in China and, in all likelihood, will soon launch globally as well. The vanilla Vivo Y78 is also long-rumoured to launch in India.
Sadly enough, the listing does not tell us anything about the specifications, features, and design of the device, but the Google Play Supported Devices listing is usually followed by the Google Play Console listing, which does showcase the device’s design and key specifications, so we might have more details surrounding the device in the coming days as, though not an official rule, the listing goes live more or less within a week post the Supported Devices listing.
As for the specifications that are known so far, the 3C certification listing of the Vivo Y78+ has confirmed that the device will feature a 5,000mAh battery, which will have support for 44W fast charging over a USB Type-C charging port. The device is tipped to feature a 50MP triple rear camera setup. Coming to the software, the Vivo Y78+ is more than likely to run the latest Android 13-based FunTouchOS 13/OriginOS 13 skin out of the box.
