A mid-mounted motor with a maximum output of 4 kW powers the new Ampere Primus e-scooter, and a belt final drive sends the force from the motor to the rear wheel. The Primus, according to Ampere, can reach a top speed of 77 kmph and can accelerate from 0 to 40 kph in 4.2 seconds. In addition to a Reverse mode, the Ampere Primus has three riding modes: Power, City, and Eco.

A 3kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery powers the Primus e-scooter and is claimed to give it a range of 107km in Power mode on a single charge. However, the company hasn’t provided an exact number, only that the range will be greater in Eco mode while charging the battery using a standard 5A outlet will take 5 hours.

In terms of features, the Primus gets a digital instrument cluster, Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and notification alerts via the Ampere app. On both wheels, there are drum brakes, a rear spring, and telescopic front forks. The styling features include a step-up seat, a single-piece pillion grabrail, an apron-mounted front turn indicator, and a tall headlight.
