Xiaomi 13 Lite launch imminent, specifications revealed via Google Play Console listing

After unveiling the Xiaomi 13 series in China, which consists of two smartphones – Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro, the Chinese smartphone maker is likely planning to unveil one more smartphone under the same series very soon. MySmartPrice has spotted a mid-range device called “Xiaomi 13 Lite” on the Google Play Console database ahead of its launch. The Xiaomi 13 Lite listing in the Google Play Console database shows that the device’s code name is Ziyi. As per the report, the Xiaomi 13 Lite will be a rebranded version of the Xiaomi Civi 2, which has not been launched in India.

To begin with, the listing shows a render of the device’s design, which looks a lot like the Xiaomi Civi 2. However, the report notes that the upcoming smartphone will have a display panel with 1080×2400 pixel resolution and 440ppi pixel density, as per the Google Play Console listing. The smartphone is likely to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset paired with up to 8GB of RAM. It might come pre-loaded with Android 12.

If we look at the specs of the Xiaomi Civi 2, which might be launched as Xiaomi 13 Lite globally, the smartphone comes with a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. There is a dual front-facing camera setup consisting of a 32MP primary camera and a 32MP ultrawide camera for selfies and video calling.

Meanwhile, a report has hinted that the company plans to unveil the Xiaomi 13 series for the global audience at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023, which will take place between February 27th to March 2nd in Barcelona, Spain. It might also launch a new Ultra variant that is said to come with Leica camera technology.
