WhatsApp is down in India with thousands of users reporting issues in sending and receiving messages on the platform on Tuesday, October 25th. The reason behind the WhatsApp outage is unclear at the moment. According to DownDetector.in, nearly 6,000 users have reported facing issues on WhatsApp across several parts of India, including Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Kolkata. India seems to be the most affected by this WhatsApp outage as the issue is far less severe in the US.

The WhatsApp outage comes just a day after Diwali, a major festive holiday that sees a massive amount of Diwali-related messages being shared on the messaging service.
