Tata Tiago EV introductory price offer extended: 10,000 more customers can avail early bird price

Tata Motors has announced the extension of the introductory pricing to 10,000 more customers after receiving a strong positive response after the launch of its latest Tata Tiago EV hatchback. The Indian automaker recently launched India’s cheapest mainstream EV passenger car at around the Rs 8.5 lakh price mark, stirring the Indian hatchback segment with its immense value-for-money proposition. The Tata Tiago EV hatchback generated strong interest and ran out of its first 10,000 units within seconds, even crashing the booking portal for some time!

Tiago EV price in India

Tata Motors has announced that it will now take a total of 20,000 bookings at the introductory pricing. This move comes after the EV segment king in India priced the Tiago EV at a very attractive price. Despite that, Tiago EV gets new features as well as funky styling that keep the quotients high. 

It has been reported that most of the bookings are for the top-of-the-line XZ+ Tech Lux and consumers are preferring to opt for the Teal Blue and Pristine White shades of colour. Tata has announced that the deliveries for the higher spec variants will begin in January 2023 while the other variants will roll out sometime in February – March 2023.

The Tata Tiago EV has been priced at an introductory price of Rs 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and gets multiple variants. The top-spec XZ+ Tech Lux model which is currently finding the most buyers has been priced at Rs 11.79 lakh (ex-showroom). This top-spec model is Rs 1.85 lakh and Rs 5.51 lakh more affordable than the top-spec Tata Tigor EV and the Tata Nexon EV Prime.

The Tiago EV gets two battery packs, 19.2kWh and 24 kWh, which deliver 250km and 315km of range respectively. The battery packs can be topped 10 to 80 percent in 57 minutes using a 50kW fast charger. The Tata Tiago EV gets leather seats, connected car tech, cruise control, sports mode, rain-sensing wipers, auto-headlamps, and TPMS.
